Sky chuckled and he reset the game so they could play again.

They did a few more times and Dani got more confident with each go.

She still hadn't managed to win but she was getting better and definitely enjoying herself.

Sky smiled to himself realizing that she was relaxing around him. And on one round he played a little carelessly and she won. "Hey look at that!"

Dani looked up at him with large round eyes, amazed, "I won?"

He grinned. "Yes! You emptied all your spots! Great job!"

Dani flushed, unused to such praise.

Sky smiled. "Do you want to try again?"

She nodded quickly, starting to reset the board.

"You're really getting a hang of this." He chuckled and they played another round.

"I have other games too if you get tired of this one."

"I don't know any other games." Dani murmured quietly.

"I can teach you, but only if you want to." He offered.

Sky got up while Dani reset the mancala board and brought her some of the chips she seemed fond of and some snacks for himself.

Sky felt conflicted. Sure, he supposed he was glad that he would never have to carry on his Father's father's...father's ( and on and on and on) - their war, but he wasn't sure he wanted it to end. He had been brought up his entire life to see the Fenton clan as these barbarians who attack anyone and everyone. He trained day and night to keep these people at bay.

Letting that barbarian marry his sister for the sake of peace seemed like a huge price to pay. It certainly didn't keep the dragon within him happy. He felt his power bubbling just beneath the surface, ready to destroy anyone who harmed his family. But if he were to explode so publicly... well it wouldn't go very well. The mix of nerves and anxiety and frustration swirled around him like a heavy fog all day. He had begun to drink before the treaty had even been signed, trying to keep the beast calm as much as possible.

Skylar beamed and pecked his cheek gently, lingering just a little. "See you tomorrow then..."

She smiled and held put a hand to help him up from the playground.

Danny accepted it and they walked towards the exit from the park together.

"Can I escprt you back to your dormitory, sir?" Skylar chuckled.

Danny smiled at her, "Isn't it a little early for you?"

She laughed and nodded. "I suppose its early for me. But not you."

"Yeah, I really should get more sleep, trying to stay awake for classes during the day and with you at night isn't good."

She chuckled. "I'm honored you stay up for me. Sorry I'm sure you're beat."

Danny shrugged, "It's not your fault you're nocturnal."

She chuckled. "It gets lonely when the world is asleep. But it's also why I like colleges so much. Kids stay up to ridiculous lengths to study or party and it feels way less lonely."
