Okay, so y’all wanna know what I find really funny??
Akai Shuuichi straight up faked his death like he ligitamitly thought that was a good idea, and I know it worked but ???? That was not a good idea???? So many things could have gone wrong, and he planned it all out in like 20 minutes with a 6 year old and saw nothing wrong with that ????? Sure the 6 year old is actually 16, but he didn’t know that! Why Akai???
But even with ALL of that, somehow Akai Shuuichi is actually a totaly chill person? Like, he doesn’t necessarily say much but he’s a sarcastic fuck when he does and is always doing the stupidest shit but you could also call him up in the middle of the night and tell him you need help and he’ll come every time.e’s reached peak bullshit levels and now nothing phases him.
Furuya Rei, on the other hand, has never chilled a day in his fucking life. He is the craziest, most hight strung dumbfuck in the entire show. And he’s such a petty bastard too. He’s almost poisoned honey except that he’s actually literal battery acid. It’s fucking nuts. ANd he keeps trying to straight up murder Akai, and Akai is just ??? Cool with that???? What? Dude, no. Just. No. Stop. Both of you, please get a grip. Don’t make the grade schooler babysit you both.

there are plenty of akai/subaru moments I love and some of them are:
1. In the end of mystery train arc where he opened his eyes sjjsjsbdsk
2. the last scene in m18 where he said "ryokai" in his real voice
3. The entirety of scarlet arc lmfao esp the end where he lets the kids enter the house and tells genta he still has curry left
4. wizard of the wave case (is that what it's called?) esp the scenes with shinichi, ran, and masumi (oh and that shot of him topless while lying down doesn't hurt either 😊😌)
5. The Rum reveal case where he was holding conan's hand and calls him dad 🤧🤧 it's just so soft 🤧😩
6. OH and that scene in m18 where he shot the culprit and scoffs (is that the right term?) out of arrogance always gets me 🥵🥵
7. That scene in ep 1002 where he stops and pets the cat makes me so soft 😩😩😩
