Reggie struggled with this feeling before. The feeling of being unimportant, the feeling of not mattering. Side piece central and he was smack in the middle of it. Josie was on her way out, so Reggie felt the need to press his lips against her as a means of goodbye. He didnโt realize he was tearing up ( gross! ) until after he pulled away from her and saw his tears left shining on her cheek.
Reggie turned his back to her, fast as he could, and started wiping at his eyes. โHoly fucking shit-โ He cursed. โAllergy season is one son of a bitch, am I right?โ

Nobody wears a shit-eating grin like Reggie. Nancy gets a chance to see his trademark up close and personal. โIs there something I want?โ He repeats her question, as if it wasnโt clear what she was asking. It was a fair question to ask anyone who had been shooting you longing glances for the past five minutes, as Reggie had been doing to her.
Reggie made a face like he was thinking but he so clearly was not. He didnโt look like he thought much at all. โYou.โ He decided on quickly.

Indiscriminately unfollowing people who have lowered themselves toย โReggie shouldnโt get a backstory before Toni! Toni is more popular and us the fans demand more Toni not more Reggie!โ discourse. I could go on for several paragraphs about how storyline decisions are not based on what stans are @โing the writers on social media nor should they be, about how Reggie getting a backstory doesnโt mean that Toni isnโt, about Reggie being not only a day one pilot character whoโs been underutilized but also one of the core 5 of the OG comics, and if youโre going theย โgive poc screen time!!โ route how rare it is to see an Asian male written as a cool guy jockโฆ โฆ but instead of spending more time on those truths that you probably donโt care about because you really just want more Toni (so do I), let me just say if your means of arguing for representation for a certain character or race or sexual identity is to try to take away from someone elseโs rep, even if there are โless of themโ than you, youโre doing it wrong. Jughead gave him a glare before taking the blunt from him when he was done with his drag. He didnโt have to sign, but he gets at least a weekly text from the guy asking how to sign something vulgar? He should just take a basic course.
A hit was taken before handing back to Reggie, shaking his head at his pal down there. He couldnโt see why he went through all this trouble for these two when there are at least what? 4 billion other girls on this Earth?ย โItโs not that Bettyโs desperate, Reg,โ he said, fixing his cap to cover the aids like heโs done since he was a child.ย โThis is whatโs likely to happen,โ
He turned a bit to face Reggie and brought his hands up to his chin before batting his eyelashesย โOh Archie!โ he said it what he hoped was a different pitch.ย โYouโre grounded again? Well, Iโm sure if I talk to your ma, I can set up a picnic or something in your living room and we can just watch TV or something,โ He puckerd out his lips while his eyes roll.
He moved his hands away from his chin.ย โBetty would be creative about trying to still squeeze a date out of Archie. Ronnieโs more likely to find another guy and tell him to call her back when heโs got that moolah.โ He shrugged after speaking. It was pretty obvious to him.
Reggie inspected the joint with a DISTASTEFULย up turn of his nose. They were done here. He rubbed the lit end on one of the wood planks that made up the floor of the treehouse. He flicked what was left of it downwards, sending it flying towards Betty, Veronica and Archieโs feet. They didnโt even notice. Again, Jug was right here and, AGAIN, Reggie wasnโt going to say that out loud.
โThat was a good Betty impression, man.โ He smirks at Jughead, being sincere in the compliment, as specific as it was.ย โThis is so boring... you know, we all come together to do something and it always devolves into yelling and fighting over Archieโs ballsack.โ Reggie pushed himself to his feet and dusted off his designer jeans.ย โAnd then itโs just you and me, left by the waysides!โ
โWe should ditch these losers.โ Reggie suggested. He sounded like he was standing on top of a soapbox, giving a speech strong enough to rouse even the most disenfranchised of hearts into action.ย โExplore our beloved Riverdale and have fun before we rot listening to the same contrived love triangle for the 80th time!โ
