COMFORTEMBER 2021

Hey guys!!! Comfortember 2021 is upon us. WHO’S PSYCHED CUZ I AM 🙌🏼

Comfortember is a month-long challenge during the month of November and the focus is all things comfort. Whether in the form of fluff, recovery, post-whump, or all of the above, this challenge is guaranteed to give you those soft, fuzzy feelings that make you want to curl up under blankets in front of a fireplace ☺️

This challenge is open to all fandoms and it’s open to all forms of art, not just fanfiction. Please use the #comfortember tag when you post so all the fics will be in one place!

Okay, so I have the first chapter of the Eddie as Robin fic written, and up to the adoption part plotted out (spoiler, Bruce is very awkward and soft)

The Robin part happens much later, but before that I'm stuck on how Dick and certain other people are going to react to that adoption part. It's going to take some thinking, but hopefully I figure it out in time.

That kara/Stephanie post just made me wonder about your baby shadowpact au. Like I'm sure their friendship is the same their except they possibly hang out even more but do you think Steph ends up getting more superhero friends through Kara?

I don't know that she makes new friends THROUGH Kara, but she does have more friends than she was given in cannon.

For one, after Darla finds some things out, she seeks Steph out to make up and make friends (there's no making up to be done really, Steph still feels guilty for war games, but Darla just wants FRIEND) Because I hate that trope of girls fighting over a boy, and I think their personalities would mesh well.)

It probably won't get a lot of focus in this universe, but in general, across ALL universes I imagine that once she's actually gotten to meet more heroes, Steph will make a lot of friends really easily. I mean, historically how many of the people she met in cannon didnt love her right away? Like two, and that was only because Kon and Greta liked Tim more, the same reasoning behind why just about every Steph hater in this fandom doesn't like her.

Steph's too loveable to not have a lot of friends.

Got half a chapter done, then my tablet goes and dies one me, and I can't write while it charges because the keyboard plugs into the charger port and why are things designed this way 😤

Hit a snag trying to pick out another villain for this new fic. There are surprisingly few really bad magic type villains in DC.

If I wrote a fic featuring Eddie for every day of Comfortember, (excluding any fics written between now and then) the net Eddie fic on ao3 would increase by 24%.

If each of those fics also include Jason, then Eddie and Jason fic increases by 41,1%.

If instead of Jason, I include Rose, then Eddie and Rose fic increases by 58,8%.

If I use all three of them, then Eddie, Rose & Jason fic increases by 150%.

But then what about all the Steph and Talia fic potential????

All I've learned here is that I'm good at finding ways to procrastinate on my writing while pretending it's related to said writing, and should probably actually to back to writing 😛

So, I found that I still have this thing, which I have never used even once and am also pretty sure the event it came from has ended forever ago. Anyway, there's a coffee shop AU square on it, and seeing as how I've already written a jaysteph coffee show AU, maybe I'd use it for the hypothetical jayeddie fic.
