U supposedly a fucking genius right. This why after Scandal I vowed to never support this faux genius cause she is full of bs. When her ass wants a character to exist on a show even though they suit no purpose she will force them even if it means degrading disregarding disrespecting the lead for that character but when she could just don't give a fuck abt that character she will use excuses why they had to go.

Shonda changed Scandal from its original premise to a cockeyed ridiculous spy debacle. So she changes what she wants even when it makes zero sense. That’s why fans leave and never return.

I have said this before and I will say it again. Stop expecting Shonda Rhimes to represent medium color r dark skinned black wm. She won't. I think many black women know this now. And I’m projecting here. But although Bridgeton received many favorable reviews, black women in general didn’t buy into it or watch it. Unlike in early Scandal days, hundreds of Tumblr accounts supported Shonda. Half-million tweets per episode. NOT NOW. Few black women even mention her. She lost her black women support. And I doubt she will ever regain it.

Fitz was always the man the real man. Jake was a abusive piece of shit. Only reason ppl ever saw Jake as competition to Fitz to Shonda Rhimes lowered who Olivia Pooe was for Jake. Let's b honest yrs later. Shonda Rhimes destroyed the character of Olivia Pope so Jake can b a viable love mate. Shonda Rhimes never made Jake up his game for Olivia. She lowered Olivia for him. Fitz was never written to embrace his love for Olivia. There was never any real competition between Fitz and Jake. Fitz was always the one. It was the fact Shonda Rhimes always tried to make Fitz look weak for Loving Olivia. While Jake b manly by writing Olivia down for him.

Fitz's heart overflowed with love for his Livvy. Their love was fairytale—mesmerizing, beautiful despite legally immoral. After his divorce, though, Shonda could have written them moving forward together. Her audience would have LOVED it. Bringing in Jake and demeaning Olivia was the biggest mistake of Shonda’s career. I doubt she’ll ever recover from it.

Would love to see Olitz on screen together again, directed by a showrunner who can actually write meaningful scripts for these two beloved actors.
