“Snow White!”
Fal shouted, his expression went from shock to joy, with the euphoria of having see her. Before noticing it, Fal was already crying, the sizzling of his tears went out like a burst, pretty much like his own emotions which Fal was barely able to contain
On the other hand, Snow was attentive to everything around her, and when she saw Fal, she looked at him with her eyes big and wide. She was quiet. There wasn't neither joy nor sadness in her expression, and she seemed to be analyzing Fal in silence
Perhaps he should predicted this
Fal tried to get closer, but Snow stood on the far edge of the hole where she came from, arms raised defensively. This scared Fal, who yelled in concern, the constellations that surrounded him sparking in stress. He begins to spitting apologizes, “comforting” words supposed to calm down either him or Snow White and more regret and sorries
Snow, accordingly, freaks out at this and her expression showed alarm and confusion
What's the meaning of all of this?
Snow moved to see who talked, raising up her eyes to see Valfrey with her armor. The Fluttering Knight stayed quiet, looking the scene impassive
“He is an old friend of yours. Are you unable to recognise him?”
Snow seemed more confused now. She stares at Fal, looking at the painful state of him, with the constellations collapsing and the tears spreading in a chaotic way. She tried to see, tried to remember, in a attempt to recognise him
The voice, despite being glitched due to the stress of the creature, was really familiar to Snow White
Then, Snow was startled. That strange way of speaking and that synthetic voice, sharp as that of a child, she had heard come from the creature. Realizing that this was a digital Waiter character, maked her felt internally mortified
Now that she think about it,her Waiter in particular used to say “pon” at the end of his speech. This anormal Waiter was repeating that word over and over with his broken voice
But… If that isn't a cruel coincidence, then…
Snow felt the tears coming out of her eyes when the realization came alongside the emotion. That could really be Fal?
All of them said that he was disposed of
Snow steps forward tearfully, determined to confirm that. She was already dead, what can be worse if she dared to?
She was really close, close enough to pat Fal's head. It was soft, despite the magic it exuded that made her shudder. However, let aside that in order to focus on the creature that was crying in front of her
She asked gently while she looked at Fal with the tears running down her face. Fal looked at her back, stopping the no-senses that his discomfiture state provoked
“Fal… Is Fal, pon…”
That was enough to make her cry like a child
Snow nuzzled up to the tearful Waiter. He is bigger and more expressive than before, unlike the old Fal she remembers, who was a little inexpressive hologram. Both of them look both comforted and saddened by the presence of the other
When she learned the truth… What did she really do?
When she learned it's true, she really really knew…
“But what happened?… This is really you…?”
