I wish everybody was anxious enough to be as spacially aware in the grocery store as me

Im not going to lie it has me feeling like Neo from the matrix at times. No one is unpredictable to me... Your movements were all calculated ahead of time. And all possible movements you could have made. Nothing gets past this guy

This is the Goose of Outrageous Self Assuredness.  Take from her example, her ludicrous and excellent poise in the face of bullying, and be confident in your place, your course, your equal validity.

I’m always amazed by the amount of fucks geese refuse to give.

This is it, this is everything you need to know about geese in one video.

My aunt had a guard goose. It chased me down from the gate at her farm when I was little. It soon became too aggressive to stay there so they moved it to the river.

Now, our police academy is by the river and this fucking goose decided that the hill it would die on would be to claim the firing range as it’s property and would go after the officers that would go practice.

No one ever shot the goose but I hear many were tempted

Lots of money chat in Jeeves and the Hard-Boiled Egg! Let's check what it's all worth.

$10 to kick a duke = $242 today. Seems reasonable.

$150 for 87 gentlemen from Birdsburg, Missouri to shake hands with a duke = $3,637 today. No idea how to assess this one.

$350 of Bertie Wooster's own money to help Bicky out secretly = $8,485 today. A handy chap to be friends with.

£500 a year, paid quarterly, for Bicky to work as a secretary = £28,714 today. A surprisingly normal salary.

Quick ! Think of a word you like !

Not necessarily your favorite word, it doesn’t even have to be a word you usually like ! Just a word that right now, at this moment, you look at and think “ooh what about this one”.

It can be a word you find funny, pretty, strange, scary, anything really ! You don’t need to tell me why you choose that word (though I’d love to know if you want to tell me), just give me a word !

(It’d be lovely if we made this into a chain but there’s no pressure <3)

uhhhhh sanguine? (literally the only word that popped up into my head rn but it’s prettyyy and sounds like summer to me in some inexplicable way 😌✨)

(but no pressure ofc <3)

Effervescent! Meaning fizzy in a thing or a really fun and bubbly person

gracehosborn

Exigent. Meaning that something is pressing or demanding.

No clue why this popped into my head. Maybe as a reminder that I have Ink of Destruction revisions to take care of lol.

Unlearn. I have zero ide why it came to my mind but there you go!

painting. um guys i swear my vocab is better than this

Grief. I was watching some random ahh video I promise @imobsessedwiththeatre

Maelstrom, because I have had so much sarcastic banter with teachers with that sole word.

Leech. Of how I fucking love leech. More in the meaning of someone being a leech I think. Man I’m falling way too deep into my bible daemon lore here

I know too many big words: Synecdoche.

I actually wrote a poem about this word, read it at a talent show, and no one understood the poem so I didn't win 😓

Epitaphs.

Don't ask me why xD

Desiderium

To yearn, I think?

Thanks for tagging, tagging:

Ethereal, "extremely delicate and light in a way that seems not to be of this world" (literally the first word i remembered bc it's one of my favorite words)

Flames. I really like that word and also the concept of fire and the many metaphors that can be formed from it :)

outrecuidance, it’s a rather archaic french word (tho i have seen it used in english texts) for extreme presumption and/or arrogance. it’s the first word that came to mind bc i’ve been on a months long mission to use it correctly in context as much as possible - mostly bc i think it’s fun to say xx

np tags: @anouri @arakhnee and anyone else that has a word they might want to share xx

genuinely my favorite word is sanguine but the first person used it so then the next one i came up with was exsanguination … (death caused by loss of blood)

hmmmm maybe happenstance…there’s something comforting about that word

ohhh this is such a fun tag game!! hmm, in this moment I think I'll say:

whisper. there's something so ghostly about it (also love the word ghost), and it's sort of an onomatopoeia, like it's asking to be whispered. it just feels like a gray-lit room with sheer white drapes being tossed about by the wind.

cannot wait to hear @annabtg's word + no pressure tags: @practicecourts @blitheringmcgonagall @goldenbi @in-flvx & anyone else who wants to hop on the wagon!

Hahah Jamie ❤

When I saw the "Quick! Think of a word you like!" for some reason the first word that came to mind was tear - but tear the drop of liquid that runs when you cry 💧, not tear as in tear apart. They're different words. Tear is much prettier and it's even prettier in other languages (δάκρυ! lágrima!). And I also find the teardrop shape really pretty.

Whisper is a good one too, btw. ❤

Thanks for the tag anna❤️ and also @practicecourts ❤️

The first word that came to mind was "pristine". It's pretty, isn't it? It also feels nice to say hah

thanks 💋

The first word popped into mind was "Incessant", I like the 's' repetition. Also like 'amalgam' :)

Suddenly i have forgotten every word that ever existed...

im going to go with caterpillar

caterwauling -- make a shrill howling or wailing noise like that of a cat.

always loved this word, love finding a reason for a character to shout "stop your caterwauling"

defenestration

I did not learn this in an English class, but in a class on world history in the 20th century.

Ooooh this is more difficult than it should be but I love the word murmur. Which is probably obvious considering I think I overuse it in my fics 🤣🤣 it just feels like it’s more intimate and sensual than most of the synonyms. Gotta get up close and personal.

very good words each and every one of them! I think the first word that came in my mind as "oh yeah that's a word" is Vanilin it's the chemical causes the smell of old books.

Kerfuffle

Who doesn't love that word?

Thanks for the tag @beastlyanachronism !

The first one that comes to my mind is adroit. A lovely, competent little word that in my mind describes a degree of skill high enough to have its own panache :)

I will tag @sanspatronymic, @plaidadder, @viridiandecisions, @discordantwords, and of course @sanguinarysanguinity (look how loved your words are!) <3

oubliette!

Fun to say, fun to confine your enemies in.

My favorite Russian word is потоп (potop), which means 'flood'. In addition to being a good palindrome, I think it looks like a bridge being flooded:

п-т-п (unflooded bridge) потоп (flooded)
