I'm doing good I'm mostly on twitter. I came back here to get some photos on my blog. But that tag system works only if I click on it through a post lol.

How are you doing? You're the main person I think about when I come back here occasionally!

Now is a good time to explain why it’s better to believe the accuser/victim even if there’s no proof

It’s safer. That’s it. What more do you need?

It safer because if the proof or any sort of confirmation comes to light then we are able to stop a criminal before they claim anymore victims. Putting the light on them will stop them from going any further, doing something similar to someone else, and/or trying to silence the initial accuser. Above all, it would also warn others to be cautious and to not allow for it to happen to them by taking (extra) precautionary measures.

But what if the allegation actually proves to be false?

A ruined reputation. That’s really it. Yes, it may be oversimplifying it but it is recoverable, you can move on from it. Especially celebrities. They have connections + the money to make it all go away (which is all the more reason to side with the victim until things are confirmed) + loyal fans that don’t care whether or not they are criminals. Look at all the celebrity r*pists/abusers (that have plenty of evidence proves they are) still having a career and thriving today.

Tell me what matters more: Someone’s safety or someone’s reputation?

It isn’t as simple as a ruined reputation. False allegations can affect the falsely accused much worse, even if the allegations are 100% proven to be false, people will still doubt them and the accused will still be affected.

Of course I think people should speak out and immediately be taken very seriously when they claim rape or sexual harassment! However without evidence it is right for police doubt/ investigate because as sad as it is and even though it is a small minority people do claim false rape/ sexual harassment and the consequences can be a lot worse than as you put it ‘a ruined reputation. That’s really it’. Basically I agree with your post very much so, I just disagree that false allegations don’t badly affect the accused…. because they really do.

not to mention, that black men throughout the 1900s had to deal with false rape from white women.  it happens. This is why im always neutral on this type of stuff. personally, as a guy, you shouldn't even find yourself in this type of situation to begin with knowing the environment we live in today. social media is powerful and even mentions of accusation can destroy people’s lives with cancel culture and witch hunting. so yeah we should practice a little bit of restraint and less knee jerk reaction.  the whole situation should be taken seriously.

what can a female character do without being criticized mercilessly?

She spent the majority of the movie being told she was great by nearly everyone she met and effortlessly beating up people who were weaker than her. The movie had no major conflict other than me wondering what else i could have done with my $13 other than waste my time watching yet another generic white woman action movie.

From what I know Captain Marvel was equivalent to throwing a drug dealing gang at Bayonetta. They aren’t even close to a threat. Even if your protagonist is powerful and half the fun is them styling on their enemies, the enemies still need to be severely more powerful than some jabroni with a bad attitude. Dante makes a mockery out of demons who, at the weakest, can withstand dozens of shotgun blasts directly to the face. The Angels of Bayonetta can keep fighting after being ravaged by Bayo so harshly that their flesh has fallen apart and their organs are just barely being held together. You get it. They’re, by mortal standards, some stale, toughass cookies.
