I have to wonder why he had to go offline. Makes me think he was told to stop. If that’s the case. It’s not right or fair.

I want to leave open the chance that he saw the tweets someone wrote on his account, got pissed and prevented anyone to do it again since the topic is too important to be butchered on social media. Or maybe he is tired of people asking him to gossip about LM when he is trying to fight for human rights.

But I tend to agree with @ccstillgoingstrong, I believe he has been stopped from exposing himself furthermore. Not because someone is scared he might get hurt in the process but because D by acting this way, is forcing the people around him to pick a side.

@notes-from-nowhere possible. But I think those tweets Thursday were his team exercising their power and reminding him whose in charge. And he was told in no uncertain terms to stop. I don’t think people begging for a comment on l/ea would even phase him. It’s just not important.

I’d guess Monday he rallied solo. Got in trouble and they forced the pap walk Tuesday. He continued to use his voice online. The real d/arren was shining through. And team nightmare used his SM to threaten him Thursday night and ultimately force him to stop.

And I think in one last rebellion sct he told us.

Silencing someone trying to do the right thing. And people still think we’re exaggerating when we say his team and SS only care about the money he can put in their pockets and not anything else. He deserves for his voice to be valued, not silenced, same as anyone else. It’s a basic human right.

MANILA – Hollywood actor Darren Criss has weighed in on the new anti-terrorism bill in the Philippines which the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte is currently pushing to become a law.

On Wednesday, Criss used his platform on Twitter in declaring that with the proposed measure, “injustice continues to thrive off the slippery rhetoric of peace maintenance… aka preying on the fears of the voting majority.”

Criss’ tweet came with a link that goes directly to a donation drive related to the measure. It calls for the scrapping of the terror bill and it contains the hashtags #JunkTerrorBill, #MassTestingNowPH and #OustDuterte, among others.

The Filipino-American actor also reposted another netizen’s art cards sharing more information about the new bill and why many are against it.

“’Anti-Terrorism’ may sound promising but that title does not include the idea that it maximizes criminality for ANYONE who shows any kind of civil opposition – without a warrant, not to mention enforces totalitarian surveillance to uphold said insanity. I’d be in jail by now,” he said.

Duterte has certified as urgent the bill that would authorize the government to wiretap suspects, arrest them without warrants and hold them without charge for 14 days, among others provisions.

Opponents of the bill fear it could be used to suppress free speech and harass those who challenge Duterte, who commands a legislative majority and influence within the judiciary and state institutions.

“We think this is against the constitution,” said human rights lawyer Jose Manuel Diokno. “Given the broader definition of terrorism, the administration’s critics could be tagged as suspected terrorists.”

Opposition lawmaker Edcel Lagman criticized Duterte for prioritizing the passage of a bill he described as “draconian” over an economic stimulus package pending congressional approval, which aims to help mitigate the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

Duterte was “tightening the noose on suspected terrorists at the expense of the protection of human rights and civil liberties,” said Lagman, who is also a human rights lawyer.

Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque dismissed the criticism and said elements of the bill were patterned on those used in countries that had dealt effectively with extremism.

He said the 5-month takeover in 2017 of the southern city of Marawi by militants loyal to Islamic State showed the extent of extremist influence in the country.

“Let us not forget, the remains of Marawi is still there,” Roque said.

Prior to his tweets about the anti-terrorism bill, Criss, whose mother is a Filipino, was protesting the racial inequality in the United States using the same social media platform.

I’m only just seeing this today. I also have other anons I haven’t responded too. This week has been overwhelming for so many reasons.

I do wonder about why he’s logged off his official twitter. Maybe he has been too vocal recently and been told to rein it in a little.

It’s long been known that the freepav account was D and possibly C too. However right now my theory is he’s been told to pipe down and the free/pav tweet may have been a small act of rebellion.

That says it all. Remember the comment made regarding silencing Pav. B/laine says it in original song.

I think D made his point clearly with this. I think he’s silenced a lot.

I hit the nail on the head that there was a tug of war on his main account yesterday then. Heaven forbid a man encourage people to use their brains and educate. The scandal.

Been very proud of him in the last couple of weeks. Couple of months really. As C said the other day, when you get that spark, hold onto it and don't let it go out. D is so much more than a face on a magazine or the big screen. There's a mind there waiting to be given the right platform by the right people who appreciate it and won't try to suppress it. And I suspect they won't get to suppress it for much longer. Just a hunch.

What better way to bring attention to something then deny it in a way that points an arrow at the truth. Reminds me a lot of the reason I found my way to my cc family.

The neighborhood is changing, some old faces are back, even if just temporarily. I am including you, ajw720! Let’s hope they stay, even if they only drop in for brief visits and then are gone again, whatever works. Pav is a complicated, clever little survivor. He never really died, because they couldn’t kill him. But it had to look like he had. Love you, little bird. Let’s hope they stay, even if they have to do so under less than open and ideal conditions, weaving in and out, only as necessary. And I had a narrative on this earlier in the week regarding these two, fighting back against injustice, and choosing what calls to the soul over money. When songbirds find their voice, they are not so easily silenced. That song travels from a bird in a cage to the songbird in the mountains to the birds in the forests as other birds echo the song. Everything I saw posted led me to assume Ke/n Sun/shine would be shutting him down, as that fierce political advocacy and intelligent voice goes against his carefully crafted public image and does not make money for the corporate suits. And Ke/n Sun/shine and Fo/x, Dis/ney and Broad/way, iHea/rt and Qui/bi and the music industry, and even RM and Co., still have tons of money to make off this kid, they have plans. His activism regarding the problems in other countries, especially Asian ones, will undermine corporate efforts to “monetize” his public image in that market. Corporate suits DO NOT like activists, when a large chunk of your fanbase is young Rachel Broadway aspiring babies with privilege and their Karen moms, as I said before. The music tour with Le/a was targeting and building that audience for him, and strengthening his Broadway ties. For his art, yes, but always monetizing his image. Every move made is calculated to cement that public image, develop and expand a new niche audience. This newly emerging (for D) and rapidly expanding Asian fanbase and market, proven out by the Asian fans of Gl/ee, Ver/sace, and Holly/wood, with D as the draw and throughline here, and now being developed by his team, are in danger if he over politicizes them, NOT because of the fans, mind you, but the Asian corporate suits and moneymen who must appease the governments through which they function to allow for these shows and their stars to be seen there. And I also noted that, for every impassioned tweet D made, C was doing the same, in multiple forums, often in spaces that would not traditionally be his, such as the blackout day for musicians and songwriters. If you recall, C has even recently been taking his own self out of that lane by saying publicly he doesn’t think of himself as a singer or musician. But he publicly supported this blackout day right alongside D, without clearly tieing it to say, supporting Am/ber, for instance. He was probably ALSO told to cool down the politics and stay in his “children’s book author and gay rights advocate” lane right now so as not to confuse, possibly frighten, and possibly alienate large portions of HIS audience, who tend to be young children and their parents and probably overwhelmingly white. Again, one needs to remember, corporate suits who control all these strings are ONLY about money made off carefully constructed public images tailored to specific audiences. Black Lives Matter folks were never the audience for C and D, unlike Amber, and strong advocacy of such could gain them nothing, and lose them a lot, just from their existing and potential growth audiences, according to their “algorithm,” as Net/flix likes to say. Those “numbers” are how people make decisions about one’s image,” and how they shape an artist’s career, by looking at the long game and controlling and crafting any changes to same. The artists themselves are not supposed to do that spontaneously, that makes it something unpredictable and therefore uncontrollable. But, again, if you were watching and are a fan of BOTH, you could see how in sync their social media was this week and last. That ALSO is not allowed. Pav is not necessarily D OR C, it is D AND C.

If you work in the showbusiness, what you sell is your public image first and then your abilities, your talent. If you, as a person behind the public image and the abilities, pick a side on things, you automatically alienate the counterpart.

This is why celebrities often can’t pick a side even if all in them, screams they should. And most of the time they do not have control over what they can and cannot do about things, they just have an organized plan to follow or they will pay. And we are talking about, millions of dollars and future career (I mean, J/ohn B/oyega has spoken clearly and D too with the tweet this morning about having to drop social media).

Took long enough and I still don’t know the source of one of these. But now that I saw it on tw/itter, here’s what’s been talked about.

Thank you @leka-1998. I’m glad we are seeing this. This is how a person that knows there will likely be a photo because he’s a celeb uses his voice.

This was Darren on Chris’s bday - May 27, 2015…

There were several tweets that day that Darren looked up and never broke eye contact while singing.  People really thought someone was in the balcony but it was dark - he kept eye contact and never stopped. Sang the whole song to the balcony and apparently he had never done that before.

And there was this tweet too.

They added another IKEA shelf with I guess D’s stuff and degrees.

Is it just me or the frames that they put his stuff and degree are similar to c's pic of him and w. i may be trippin but......

And even with the blurry background of the stream, you can see that some pictures look familiar from Stories or Snaps. Keeping things close to the heart and private, right? But hey, at least the mirror from hell isn’t visible anymore. Though considering how often it moved in the old PR house, it’s probably in the kitchen now.

Don't say that about the mirror. I'm afraid it will appear behind him, inching closer and closer to him with every new livestream. Obviously, it has its own legs, and that's why it kept moving all the time. 😉

You know what I love about this new addition though? Compare the sides. His side has what looks like three degree papers or such, all with simple black frames and not much white padding around the paper. Her side only one, but with gilded frame and with enough padding to almost make it the same size as all three of his. It's symbolic in a way. Her side doesn't have much, but what little she has screams: "Look at what I have accomplished!"

The thing is: the more noise you make, the less impressive it gets, especially if the level of noise is not on par with the achievement itself. There's true beauty in modesty.

Well, the mirror might just do that. I mean, she did take it with her when she ascended from Hell to earth after all. It’s a bad, bad mirror! ;)

Oh, you know how it is. If everything you have is just an illusion, you have to overcompensate in other ways. Just like with guys and their flashy cars, which are supposed to make up for their shortcomings in other departments.

And maybe that's why she hangs onto D too as much as she does. Her fake relationship with him is the gilded frame of her life. Her career is largely an illusion, as she hasn't consistently worked hard to take it places. Thus, she needs to overcompensate with the relationship side. Too bad that it's an illusion too, as he is not here to have or to keep.

PR can manipulate anything, folks. Pictures, locations, timelines, quotes, SM, print articles, relationships, marriages, pregnancies. Anything. They can rewrite your entire narrative so that it's better, happier, more socially acceptable for public consumption. In the world of Holly/wood and celebrity, things are never what they seem.
