“ So yours is a Community built on strength of character, huh? To be honest, I always thought those types of society’s were a dime a dozen -- but I’ve gotta admit, yours seems unique. In it’s own weird, monster infested way. ”

That’s been a backhanded compliment and Izayoi knew it, but he genuinely was impressed with Joshua’s ‘game’ mechanics here. Though gruesome and a little barbaric; it definitely sounded like an efficient way to weed out the weak and make sure only the toughest of society members got their second chance, as Izayoi paused to poke at his headphones next-

“ These? Nah. They actually don’t work! Guess I got them wet one too many times and now I just use ‘em for the fashion statement. ” Which was another thing Izayoi had noticed about this city. It’s fashion trends were definitely something else.

“ But hey, since we’re on the topic of me being so ‘carefree’, do you mind if I explore around domain for a bit? Something in me’s just itching to take on one of these Noise things you keep talking about just to see how I measure up. You think that’s possible? ”

“ Take it easy already, kitten. I’m not here to steal anything from you or that dog of yours this time. I promise. ”

She was tense and scared. Even Izayoi could tell that much from his out-of-reach vantage point tucked high up on the shrine’s rafters -- but she really didn’t have anything to worry about. He was being honest when he’d said he wasn’t here to do anything; even if Sera had probably been able to pick up on the fact his unannounced visit had definitely been planned.

With her shrine’s self appointed guardian gone and the vixen left on her own for the time being, there wasn’t a better time to stop by...even if all Izayoi had for Sera was a question and hopefully a little tension breaking.

“ So, ” Izayoi would wave down from his perch. “ How many days is he gone for this time? Ten? Twenty? The entire month? You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to, but it’s really not hard to see that the shrine’s guard dog hasn’t been pacing out front for last week like he usually does. ”
