shoutout to that one post about barbatos casually adopting powerful beings i couldnt stop thinking about it

Barbatos walked steadily down the length of the hallway, eager to return to where he’d left you.  You’d offered support in some of the cleaning today, but he had to step away for a moment to deal with some unexpected guests.  He only hoped you hadn’t wandered too far, your innocent feet taking you to dangerous, unfamiliar places within the demon lord’s castle.

But his fears were quickly assuaged before he even reached the open double doors of the room you occupied.  The sound of upbeat music met his ears, and above that, the sound of your singing voice.
