This article is six parts and thousands of words, but I hope you read it. Incredibly brave creators spoke about their experience working with Rusty Quill, and their stories kept me up for nights. In my opinion, some of the actions taken by this company were unconscionable - but I invite you to read this piece and decide for yourself.

There is no ethical consumption under capitalism, but the behavior we support will be emulated by other podcast companies. It is up to us as a community to decide what that behavior should be, and take concrete action to uphold it.

Hey, I want to start listening to tma but I can’t focus on podcasts, what’s the best way to read your transcripts in chronological order?

I’d recommend going to the Archive A (Extremely Unofficial) which you can find here. The Archive is designed for maximum readability (by @snarp!) and has content warnings for every episode as well as easy navigation. It also has both those official transcripts that exist, plus my unofficial transcripts/other unofficial transcripts to fill in all gaps all the way from episode 1 to the finale!

The way I’ve linked it, it should show up in reverse sort, which means it should go from episode 1 at the top!

Hey everyone! Finale day-- wow, it's been over two years running this thing, and I can't believe our time is now quickly coming to an end.
A quick note before the finale:
If you found this blog helpful in any way, please consider writing in to Rusty Quill abt their transcript situation (or the lack thereof.) Their other shows don't really have any good infrastructure in place, and even the official Magnus transcripts that do exist have been exceedingly difficult to find. At the same time, new shows continue to be developed, without, it seems, much thought for how transcripts will work for them as well. This is, obviously, a major accessibility issue.
There has been at least one effort behind the scenes involving reaching out to RQ about this issue, but so far communication has been limited and progress slow. A big fan effort showing that many people care might be the push the company needs.
Please, if you decide to write in, draft your message with politeness in mind-- I do not want to be responsible for a flood of hatemail to RQ. If a message template would help, I can draft one and post in the replies here.
Rusty Quill's community email address is mail@rustyquill.com. Please only approach RQ through official lines of communication!
And with that, I bring you:

This is an official transcript by Rusty Quill.

Anonymous asked:

Where did you read the 194 transcript

we get it with the patreon eps, im not sure how they release it generally so im probably not the best person to ask!

They always end up on the Wikis for each episode? But I’m not sure where they get those from

and they're also crossposted to @tmatranscripts

usually the new episodes are up by the end of the day of the public release.

They’re up on the blog now (here), but as a general rule you can find links to the transcripts in the episode description. I generally grab them from Acast

The link to the official drive is also here, although for whatever reason it seems to stop again at MAG 189. You can find the officials for 190-current on the blog here, and also at the Archive A (Extremely Unofficial) (snarp link above)

Cross-hosted at Archive A (Extremely Unofficial) [to come]

This is an official transcript by Rusty Quill.

Links have been updated. Thank you to @ecto-archivist and @thankchaosforspellcheck for pointing out the original links didn’t work. I’m currently not sure what happened there, so I’ll keep an eye out for this in the future.
