“Who… who is this? What is this?”
Fetch! The canine barked, dropping the tree he dug up at the woman’s feet. Once he had set it down, the large canine jumped back with a bark, fined tail wagging behind him in excitement.

“Thanks for letting me up.” Alexandra sat up before getting up and looking over the creature that knocked her over. He seemed like he wanted, petting? She hoped she wouldn’t lose a hand for petting him. Reaching out she scratched at his head. “Now don’t bite my hand off.”
The sharkdog merely closed his eyes in content, his ears going back as he just relaxed against the petting. Yes, good boy, me, me good boy, good boy gets pets.
“Hey, hey. I’m happy to see ya too.” Alexandra said as she petted the shark canine. “Can ya let me up boy? Not exactly comfortable laying on the ground on my back like this.”
Letting out another bark, the canine easily got off the woman and took a seat on the ground. Like a good boy, he thought, and sat a bit prouder as he awaited the pets.
“Holy shi-” Alexandra couldn’t finish her sentence as she was knocked onto her back. She was not expecting that. It knocked the wind out of her and she had to take a moment before she could react properly.
Pᴇʀsᴏɴ﹐ ᴘᴇʀsᴏɴ﹐ ᴘᴇʀsᴏɴ﹗ The canine barked, but all it sounded like was.. well, barking. Barking and licking along with his fish-scented breath. He was too happily greeting the woman under him to notice that she may not be that comfortable with being knocked to the ground.

Fill this out if you would like one! Here are the cards I have done in the past.
[Tiny heads up, used a new site, hopefully it’ll work better than what I did in the past.]
Toni bends down to examine him. He certainly wasn’t irradiated that much she could tell, he looked like a dog but he also had gills, maybe he was someone’s sick FEV experiment. ❝ Hey boy…❞ she hopes at least the sharkdog was male. ❝ What’s your name? Do you belong to someone? ❞
Turning his head, the canine showed off his golden collar- R E X engraved into the side. It rested just above his gills, but nothing else seemed to be on it. No ‘if found return to’, no numbers, no address.. just REX.
Alright calm down pal. I’ll help.
Damn it. Lou was always volunteering him for things. Oh well, at least it was an adventure. He could get on board with a little excitement. Pops was out of town and Mama was busy, so this would suffice as entertainment.
Bᴇ ᴛʜᴇʀᴇ ғᴜʀ ᴛʀᴀᴅᴇ ʜᴇʀᴇ﹖
He reasoned that would be why someone would keep her, for unlike him she had a nice pelt on her. Or she might be taken to be sold as some sort of fancy pet, but knowing her.. well, she was a wild animal, and unlike her father she could not be tamed.
Puppy really enjoys the rain
Lou sent you?
Well if his brother had sent him here it was for a reason.
Pup? What pup? Slow down, I just woke up. Whats happening?
Mᴀɴ ᴛᴏᴏᴋ ᴍᴇ ᴘᴜᴘ﹗ Mᴇ ғᴏʟʟᴏᴡ ·ᴇᴍ ʜᴇʀᴇs.. ᴄᴀɴ·ᴛ ᴛʀᴀᴄᴋ ɢᴏᴏᴅ ɪɴ ᴄɪᴛʏ.
Lᴏᴜ sᴀʏs Bᴜᴅ ʜᴇʟᴘs.
A sleepy Hyena approached from the shadows, sniffing for a moment.
Someone bring me sushi?
Oh. Who are you?
Rᴇx.
The canine tilted his head to the side, watching the sleepy hyena slowly wake up. Was he really doing to risk his daughter’s life on this guy?
Lᴏᴜ sᴀʏs ʏᴏᴜs ʜᴇʟᴘ ᴍᴇ ғɪɴᴅ ᴍᴇ ᴘᴜᴘ﹖
Lou. Names Lou. Remember it.
His body language was threatening as he watched the shark dog pass.
He was so sick of strays and weirds always walking his terf.
Oʜ. Rex gave a small bow of his head, before padding off to find this ‘Bud’ character. Before he turned the corner though, he paused and looked back. ..Tʜᴀɴᴋs.
With that, Rex ran off and only stopped once he scented the other hyena. Once there, he stopped and barked three times like he was told.
Oh hell no. I’m not offering help. I will offer advice. best tracker in this city is my brother bud. Couple of blocks up- bark three times. He’ll find you. And he’ll help you with your rescue. As for you- Don’t let me catch ya around here again after this little mission of yours is through.
Every once in a while Lou was a little less like his pops and more like his mom.
More often than not though, he was an ass hole. Which is why he sent Rex to find Bud. Bud was always up for adventure.
True to his word however, he stepped aside and let Rex pass.
Two hyenas? Was there a whole pack of them in this city or something? ...Either way, the second hyena... Bud sounded like he would be more helpful than.. Wʜᴀᴛ ʙᴇ ʏᴏᴜ·s ɴᴀᴍᴇ﹖ Rex questioned, not noticing any name written on the hyena’s collar as he passed. His brother was Bud, what was his? Foe?
You tellin me youre after someone? Tracking? Pal ya smell alone is enough ta cover that shit up.
This dog thing wasn’t going to get anywhere in this city at the rate he was going.
You can’t just run around either, get caught and there are people dat will kill ya and stuff ya.
..Mᴇ ᴅᴏ ɴᴏᴛ sᴍᴇʟʟ ·DAT ʙᴀᴅ.
He huffed, staring at the hyena. Mᴇ ᴋɴᴏᴡs ᴛʜᴀᴛ﹗ And for goodness sake, he was a search and rescue dog! He knew how to track people- and find them! ..Even though that was mostly through water, and his little one was most likely far from it.. most likely in a cage somewhere. That thought made him shudder, no animal was meant to be in a cage! Well, maybe dolphins.. they were assholes. Seagulls too..
Yᴏᴜs ᴏғғᴇʀɪɴɢ ʜᴇʟᴘ﹖
Now thats more like it. Ok I’ll make ya a deal. Tell me what you’re after, and I’ll let you go. Super simple. Super easy.
Unphased Lou kept his ground. Teeth bared in a smile as he held his tail high.
If the fish for brains wanted to fight, Lou was all for it.
The canine side-eyed the hyena, not believing it would be that easy. However, he would rather not break a tooth before getting to his goal.
Mᴇ ᴘᴜᴘ.
Mᴀɴ ᴄᴀᴜɢʜᴛ ·ᴇʀ. ..Mᴇ ᴄᴏᴜʟᴅ ɴᴏ sᴛᴏᴘ ᴛʜᴇ ʙᴏᴀᴛ.
However he did follow and track it to the docks of Gotham, so he was at least in the right city. But for how long? His keen sense of smell was useless in the city, there was so many odours clogging up the air! It was hard to make sense of any.
❝ Wow. You’re incredible! I’ve never seen anything like you around here, or anywhere really. ❞
The canine sat up at the praise- was it praise? It sounded like it! Incredible was normally a good word people used. ..Or did she mean it as in strange or weird? Because he was all those things, sharkdogs weren’t common.
