- so it started when they were still at palmetto
- during a press conference they got put on together (who did this oh god)
- (allison and nicky its all a conspiracy)
- nicky said “be gay my sons”
- so neil andrew were really decidedly not gay or relationshippy at ALL
- there was like a foot between them
- they kept interrupting each other
- andrew at one point shoves neil backwards (gently ofc but neil makes a Big Deal out of it bc he’s a goddamn drama queen)
- (also one of the reporters was just getting too close to him andrew wasn’t having it neil is his
boyfriendno he’s not what) - they’re only like five questions in and neil sasses andrew for standing so far from him
- “god andrew, i know, i know. it must be so hard to stand within a foot of me. oh gods! what cruel torture! do you always act like a brat like this or is it just around me?” then to the cameras “he’s the biggest man child ive ever met” back to andrew he says (in the fakest whisper ever) “could you act like the grown ass adult you actually for once in your pathetic midgety life? act professional, we’re teammates, at least make an effort to pretend you don’t abhor my every breath.”
wymack says pathetic midgety life at one point right?- andrew snarls and storms out
- (450% josten what the fuck that was so hot)
- the next morning everything is like “Tension among the Palmetto state Foxes? What this could mean for their season.”
- “No surprises here! The two most temperamental Palmetto State Foxes have a rivalry.”

neil likes andrew’s neck. andrew is very aware of this fact, which should embarrass neil, but it doesn’t, because andrew jerks every time neil kisses him there.
neil likes andrew’s neck, but he rarely gets like it for long before andrew reciprocates tenfold, guiding him with a hand to the nape and holding him down by the throat.
so the day andrew lets neil touch as he pleases, neil kisses his neck first, hands fisted in the ends of andrew’s shirt to stop them from shaking because he’s so excited to be allowed this.
andrew sighs like it’s all a chore, but he tilts his head back and neil slumps into him, worshipful, mouthing softly. neil is so careful. andrew can’t take this, all this softness, not directed at him, so he plants a fist in neil’s hair and yanks until neil’s whole head jerks and his teeth catch on skin. “like you mean it, josten,” he demands.
neil never backs down from a challenge. but he also wants to set the pace just a little longer, just until andrew snaps. so he gentles his teeth, still straining against andrew’s grip, and sucks lightly on his neck, so fucking tender. he teases a bruise to the surface, then nuzzles it softly, brushing kisses all around it to ease the hurt he’s caused.
andrew closes his eyes and lets him for a minute, then pulls him off entirely. “not what i meant at all,” he says, and he bites a ring of hickeys on neil’s throat, a pretty violet collar.

neil bruises easily. andrew likes to pinch and twist his skin when he’s bored to leave little marks behind. he does it one evening when they’re sprawled out in a bunk, neil doing homework, and andrew reading a comic book. neil hisses through his teeth and slaps his hand away.
andrew watches lazily as deep blue blood rises to the surface right there on neil’s calf. he trails his fingers further up and hooks his nails into neil’s thigh. this time he leaves little red crescents behind.
neil kicks him off. “if you’re gonna leave bruises, at least do it properly, ok? that hurts.”
andrew rolls onto his haunches and prowls over neil, tossing his book off the bed. “is that an invitation or an idle comment?”
neil packs away his homework. “it’s an invitation now.”
andrew shoves him back and gets his shirt up over his head. neil’s arms get tangled there and andrew lets him struggle, already sliding down his chest. he picks a spot high on neil’s ribs and sucks. neil whines and fall flat and still, straining up into andrew’s bite.
“good boy,” andrew rasps. he scrapes his teeth along the edges of the new bruise he’s made. neil squirms. andrew narrows his eyes at the reaction and reaches out, curious, to press on the bruise meanly.
neil shudders and moans, long and loud.
“oh,” andrew says, “you like the hurt.” he pinches the bruise, just a bit, and watches neil fall apart

ANDREW PINS HIM AGAINST THE LOCKERS AND SUCKS HICKEYS ALL OVER NEIL’S BRUISES BECAUSE NEIL MAY BE OBLIVIOUS WHEN OTHER PEOPLE FLIRT WITH HIM BUT ANDREW IS NOT AND HE IS *NOT* PLEASED SEEING HIS BOY WEARING SOMEONE ELSE’S MARKS.

Andrew thinks he could get drunk on Neil’s laugh.
The whole team is situated in the small hospital room, the new Foxes hanging in the back, knowing that the older Foxes want to be close to their injured friend. Neil has been awake for almost five minutes now, and he is so fucking high it’s laughable.
Nicky is half hidden behind Kevin, filming Neil on his phone. Andrew would have made Nicky stop, but he doesn’t want to leave his spot where he’s perched on the edge of Neil’s bed. And now Neil is laughing, and Andrew is staring at Neil. High on drugs, Neil is free from his worries and pains. He looks younger, happier. His eyes are unfocused but bright.
“Andrew!” Neil says, turning his gaze and beaming at Andrew. “When did you get here?”

I'm obsessed with Oblivious!Neil and Jealous!Andrew so how about a new fox having a huge crush on neil thus attempting to flirt and neil just not getting it and my older foxes reactions *especially andrew*
- neil is oblivious to well, pretty much everything. let’s be real that boy has an obscure level of self awareness.
- anyways the New Kid™ is honestly just a bit in awe of neil. they know what he’s been through, what he’s survived and how he’s still somehow managed to come out on top. their crush starts w simple attraction and admiration. then they actually get to know him and the crush only goes downhill.
- renee picks up on it pretty fast, she’s the observant type after all and she’s good at reading people. a bet starts up on if the New Kid will dare to make a move, most of them actually bet against it.
- andrew is actually one of the ones who bets for it tho, claiming it would make things “interesting” and not that he’s going to tell anyone but he wants to see what neil’s reaction would be.
- some of the things the New Kid has tried on neil are: following him around back at the dorms, asking for one-on-one training time, trying to get neil to dance w them when andrew brings them to columbia for the first time, lingering looks and smiles across the room at neil, just generally trying to get as much alone time as they can and lingering touches that neil may or may not shy away from.
- pretty much the rest of the foxes can see what’s up and they’re honestly a little surprised neil hasn’t caught on, but they don’t interrupt due to andrew’s wishes.
- then comes the day when the New Kid decides to become more direct and decides to try a pick up line. they wait till after practice before cornering neil (and the rest of the team stays behind to watch what’s about to go down)
- “are from tennessee, because you’re the only ten i see”
- *silence* “i’m the only ten on the team”
- nobody can decide whether neil is trying to make a joke or if he’s just that oblivious. there’s a face palm from dan in the background. and nicky almost cries. later that night andrew and the others collect their money from the win.
- the New Kid™ only tries once more before andrew steps in. neil is still painfully clueless and andrew just can’t take it anymore.
- the next time the team takes the bus somewhere andrew drags neil past the New Kid into the seat next to him and proceeds to hold his hand for the wntire drive (and if they end up making out at least the New Kid knows where they stand).
