The next few days at The Sanctuary were surprisingly uneventful. Despite the peace, you could sense that Negan was stressing himself over the ceasefire situation. You knew the peace was temporary; once Rick finds out that you've somewhat recovered from the miscarriage, you were sure that he'd do anything to take you back.
After Negan helped you bid goodbye to Lucas, the pain was somehow alleviated. Not entirely of course, any parent who lost a child-- unborn or not-- wouldn't be able to move on completely. But it was all thanks to Negan that you slowly learned to accept everything that has happened. He was nothing but caring and understanding, even during the times your emotions got out of hand. Negan made sure that you were well-taken care of at The Sanctuary. He never forced you to do anything that you were uncomfortable with and he gave you space whenever you badly needed to be alone.
He allowed you to grieve at your own pace but remained supportive. And finally, you were starting to forgive yourself.
