More clothes made by her? Even if his armor was the one thing he was so used to wearing, this wasn’t really a question he needed to ponder long. Wildfire quickly nodded. “Mhm! Yes, I like it! It is, other than I know, but it is good! Very good!” He truly looked just like the figure they had watched together. It was fascinating how well Hay Lin could recreate outfits. Or make new ones. “Yes, please! You make good clothes.” It was very impressive, really, how she could create outfits, and so creative ones at that; and even though it was new to him to change clothes much (or at all, really), if it was about clothes that Hay Lin made, he was very excited to try out anything.
He nodded to confirm that he meant if she wanted to try his armor, and delighted at her reaction. Sure, his armor wasn’t exactly the best option for her, but it was a thing she could try! And if she would like the feeling, Wildfire was going to ask Starfire, or perhaps Galfore directly, for some tamaranean clothing more fitting for her. “Good! I can help you, to mh… to dress it. To… to put it on. How to.” At least with instructions of sorts, he knew (by now) that earth was… shy about the uncovered body, and he was in no way wanting to make her uncomfortable.
Going for his stack of clothes, he put the other things aside and took up the sleeves-armor. It looked somewhat like a strange form of short-sleeved top that only had a backside, and was completely made of the tamaranean metal. Wildfire moved his energy swiftly across the ‘arms’ of the armor-piece, to which the metal opened to be much wider. “This is… it is start.” Rubbing his hand across the back-part for a moment, he then reached to touch his own back area between the shoulderblades to kind-of gesture where that was going to go.
And, well, he wouldn’t want to have her need to ask for directions with only that on, so he took the suit out of the stack of stuff already, too. It was a one-piece, with two thin metallic lines lining the long opening that currently separated the halves of the back, the same metallic lines also lining the ‘holes’ for head and arms. It wasn’t that different to some outfits he had seen on Earth, really - jumpsuits, they had been called - except for the ‘zipper’ on the tamaranean armor not being existent, of course. Wildfire moved a tiny bit of his energy quickly once along the lines of armor for the legs to make these wider as well, and then he held both pieces out to Hay Lin for her to put it on once she’d want to. “And then, this. Be care-full. Don’t… the armor, don’t hurt you.” To explain better, he reached into the chest-area of his suit and poked his finger against the tips of armor that would align below his chest when he had it on. They weren’t that spiky or anything, but for someone unused to tamaranean armor, he would rather give a ‘warning’ too much than one too little.
Wildfire had a special place in her heart. Part of her thinks that she’ll never forget the first time she met him, how one would have thought that language barrier would manage to separate them; but rather, it had only made them grow closer. Hay Lin knew how difficult it could be to adjust when you don’t speak the same language that the rest do. In kindergarten, she had only spoken Chinese to the other kids, English only becoming more prominent in her life after she had been assigned to a speech therapist in kindergarten. They had gotten what they wanted; she became fluent in English without knowing that Chinese was slowly slipping out of her system. Fortunately, she was still capable of communicating in the language, but on a limited level.
Maybe because of this, she saw a kindred spirit in him, even if they were as different as night and day. None of this mattered though, because he had been kind to her, protected her when she had needed it, and she had done the same for him; offered him a home until he found a way for himself.
As she had put on the armor, she could feel how the weight of it threatened to cause her to buckle. How could he wear this everyday and still appear to be comfortable?? Just like her element, Hay Lin preferred light and airy clothing, something that allowed her to dance like a breeze in the wind. This piece of garment wouldn’t allow for that. “Phew! It’s really heavy!” she laughed slightly, feeling how she was getting warm in the clothing. Supporting herself by holding on to him to ensure that she could stand upright. “How do you wear this every day?? Doesn’t it get uncomfortable??” Tamaraneans were, in fact, stronger than Earthborns. Maybe that made the difference.
