i feel as if Danny is one of those characters that have stretched so far and resonated with us so much that his character basically manifested himself into a primary vessel for angst for us to project our personal feelings onto. its like we love him so much and hold him so close to our hearts that and we swear to protect him but also want to make him suffer in the worst way possible as an outlet to compensate for our own sufferings. I suppose this could be the case for any character but I’ve seen it with Danny much more than any other character
