It’s come to my attention that there’s a Pennsylvania area cosplayer who has harassed minors. I will not endanger more minors by revealing any identifying information, but he has made untoward comments and advances. I’m not in the business of releasing identifying information either, but this is a person who should be avoided. This is not a call to harass someone, this is a PSA about a dangerous person. By the way, when I talk about the harassment, that is a SEVERE UNDERSTATEMENT. His first name is Adam. He cosplays Boku No Hero Academia, Detroit: Become Human, Gambit (DC), and Dream Daddy as far as I’m aware. He is in these fandoms as well as Voltron. As far as I know, he mostly uses Instagram under adamrosecosplay. Facebook was the method of communication used for online harassment.
He KNEW this person was a minor. He STILL made overtly sexual comments, snippets can be seen below the cut.
I hate it when people take advantage of minors, and I need people to be aware. It is not okay to manipulate, lead on, or take advantage of someone who is underage. If you are older than someone in that way, you are in a position of power, and it is your responsibility to act like a fucking adult. Even if it is an online environment. That kind of behavior is not something that should ever be tolerated.
Please help me spread awareness about this. It’s something that is very important to me. You can’t just say this kind of stuff to a minor. You can’t treat a minor like that. You’re a fucking adult. You KNEW.
