One of the truest things I’ve ever heard is that people who say they’re “brutally honest” are more interested in the brutality than the honesty.

Honesty is only usually brutal if that’s the kind of person you are. The truth may be harsh or indescriminate, but there is no reason for you to be. Some of the most honest people I know are usually the kindest, because they know how much the truth hurts.

A Small Guide to Journaling by Eintsein

Something you may or may not know about be is that I journal. However, only recently have I gotten the hang of it and stayed loyal to the habit of journaling. Here are some tips and tricks on how you can journal successfully. Hope you like it :)

Earth Venuses love like they have all the time in the world. They are slow to allow love to bloom, slow to allow it to die. Forgiveness, commitment, letting go, all coming sluggishly. Their love grows creeping roots, burrowing into the crevices of their own hearts and the hearts of everyone they touch. Their hearts are uncultivated gardens, full of aborted growths, twisted roots, flowers blooming alongside love left dead and rotting.

Fire Venuses love like it will never be enough. Their love consumes, like a living, breathing thing. They love like they are taking it for themselves, hoarding it close. The heat of their love can be dangerous, scalding, but bright, so bright it can blind. They love with passion, with energy, with a need to be fed, nourished, contained. Even below the surface, there are embers, waiting to be stoked to life. Love fuels them, like oxygen to a flame.

Air Venuses love like it will slip through their fingers any moment. They are tentative, withholding out of fear of loss. They are clinging, desperate to keep you from leaving them. They love without expecting it to be returned to them, and they are not strangers to loving alone. They give their whole heart to no one, but rather spread it among many, so that, like the breeze, no one may keep it for themselves.

Water Venuses love like it will heal all wounds. They love like a salve, and apology, a promise. They allow their love to flow like a river, with offshoots, twists and turns, tributaries leading to dead-ends, with currents and eddies that pull your feet out from under you. They let themselves become lost, used. They let their love wash over you until the unique edges, the crevices, the gaping wounds, the carefully constructed walls are washed smooth and filled in.

You’ve got two choices…yes..or…no. Yep Korean is the same as english, to agree or disagree to a question you say Yes or No. 

Other ways to use 네

In korean the word for yes doesn’t always mean yes. It can be used for a variety of other utterances of understanding. 

Like: 

“I see”

“Got it!”

“I’m here”

“I understand” 

“A-ha!”

“What did you say?”

Emphasising correctness 

Because 네 is mostly used a responsive of passive agreement, it can sound a bit flat. Especially if you want to add emphasis when agreeing to a question or statement. 

so you add 맞아요! 

네 맞아요! means: yes! that’s right! 

This is going to be my last post before I log off for the December 17th protest.

In case you aren’t aware of what I’m talking about (even though I’ve reblogged about it a lot), basically a large amount of users are going to be participating in a protest against Tumblr’s new policies on the 17th by logging off the site, and not logging back on for a full 24 hours. As you can see in the image above, the protest will be taking place 12 am EST, but here’s the full list in regards to the exact times the protest is taking place in case you need it:

Here’s what you can do to participate in the protest:

DO:

- Close all open instances you have of tumblr (closing all open tabs of tumblr on your browser and closing any instances you have of the app on your phone)

- Pause your queue or set it for a different time so nothing goes up on your blog during the protest.

- While you can (there’s only roughly 5 hours left- maybe less by the time you read this) make your followers aware of the protest and encourage them to participate, too. The more people we have participating the bigger the impact it will have.

- Be vocal and present on other social medias if you have them, and express how you’re participating in the Log Off protest/how you’re angry with Tumblr’s policies and actions on said social medias. This way it won’t just look like a drop off from social media, it’ll make it very clear to staff that we’re protesting because we’re angry with their new policy and their actions.

DON’T:

- Open the tumblr app or open tumblr on your desktop during the protest.

- Continue to reblog/post during the protest, or have posts go up from your queue during the protest.

- Delete your account/blog. This won’t accomplish anything besides making it hard to come back after the protest is over.

I’d also just like to add that, in case you couldn’t already infer, I will not be responding to any messages, answering any asks, reblogging, or posting on the 17th while the protest is underway.
