TOP 10 ANIMANGA ON AO3 BASED ON NUMBER OF FANWORKS (2009-2022)

  • To make this bar chart race, all series titles in the Anime & Manga Category on December 4 (or the closest date to it) of every year were copy-pasted from Wayback Machine to Google Sheets, rearranged according to number of fanworks, and then inputted to Flourish to turn into a bar chart race. November 2022 is basedon November 11, 2022 data.
  • Miraculous Ladybug was actually in the top 10 Anime & Manga from 2016-2021, before it was finally removed from the Animanga category in 2022. I’m excluding it in the rankings since it shouldn’t have been in the animanga category in the first place.
  • CLAMP - Works was actually in 9th place in December 2013, but too many series were moving up and down the rankings at the time so it was impossible to catch a glimpse of it.
