no multi option, agonize and choose, no results option, pick one to find out or scroll onward

the number of y'all in the notes mentioning how good the choices are/how hard it is to choose got me preening like "i am going to get a good grade in neurodivergent/disabled, a thing that is both normal to want and possible to achieve 😌"

His friends dared him to do it.

This but with tinys. A few teenage kids, wether they be borrowers in a human house or people living in a village close to a giant, start up a game of ‘how close can you get?’ The goal: to get as close to the giant as possible, any means necessary.

The borrowers try everything from hiding right on the counter beside the human, to rappelling down their grappling hook from somewhere higher up, dangling right beside the human before scrambling back to safety, a huge grin on their face. They know no one can top that.

The village kids dodge into nearby bushes and scramble up trees right as the giant walks by. One of them hid behind a waterfall just as the giant drank from it. The experience was nothing short of terrifying, but none of the others in the game are willing to get that close, so they win.

Until one of the players gets spotted by the human/giant.

A borrower trying to sneak right behind the human’s laptop gets the scare of their life when the human unexpectedly closes it at the last second, plainly revealing them. The borrower freezes, but so does the human. They gape down at them as the borrower’s mind eases just enough to remember the game. Hesitantly, they crawl up to the human’s hand, still resting on the laptop. Glancing back at the outlet where they know the other players are watching, they quickly tap the human’s hand then make a mad dash into the wall through a nearby outlet. The human is left utterly stunned and confused.

On the other hand, one of the village kids ends up hiding in a bush a bit too close to the giant’s path. A shadow descends over them and they cry out as they’re about to be crushed underfoot. Thankfully, the giant hears them and backs away, kneeling down to see what was going on. To their shock, the little human jumps out of their hiding place and makes a run for the deeper woods, where their friends are watching. However, they veer back at the last second, seemingly changing their mind, and rushes towards the giant, tapping them gently on the knee before racing away again. The giant is left grateful they didn’t crush the human, and a bit confused why they ran back just to tap them. Was it a thanks of some sort?

Either way, both scenarios’ tinys have absolutely bested the game of ‘how close can you get?’, and both scenarios’ giants have a very strange encounter. Who knows, maybe the two will meet again, with a proper introduction next time.

You ever think how-- if the Nein hadn't so forcefully befriended Essek-- Bell's Hells might have ended up having to deal with him too?

Because a lot of what Essek said before making friends sounded a lot like Liliana and Ludinus' anti-gods talk?

au where Aang gets told he's the Avatar (and subsequently frozen) at 16 like he was supposed to.... I think it would change a lot honestly

Hear me out, but this means in the Book of Fire when he starts trouble at school, they can legally try to conscript him to the army as punishment.

Aang has to become a draft dodger.
