Sims 4 CC Disability, Chronic Illness, and Mental Illness Masterpost

I was getting frustrated with how hard it was to find CC for disabled sims so I made a masterpost of everything I could find. I have deliberately cast the net pretty wide, as you can see by the title. Some of the mods could also be used for able-bodied and neurotypical sims.

the cultural boogeyman of the faker is such a convenient lie for ableism. Waste your time fighting about who does and does not deserve help, and maybe you wont realizes that there was never any help to begin with. The is no epidemic of malingerers taking up resources they don't need, there is a lack of resources for disabled people

First of all, i want to say i’m sorry if the english is bad, it’s not my native language but i’ll try my best.

This is so embarrassing for me. I don’t even have much followers here but i literally don’t know what to do. I’m desperate and I wouldn’t do this if I wasn’t really really desperate.

I’m struggling so hard financially right now. I want to explain my whole situation but it’s hard when I don’t really know how to explain in english.

To keep it short - I don’t have any money at all right now after paying my bills. And now my dog is sick which I found out yesterday. She needs to have a back surgery, and this will costs me a lot of money, because the insurance does not cover the entire cost.

If i cant afford the surgery, the vet suggests euthanasia. I’m so sad and heartbroken because she is my everything.

I need about 6000 KR (Swedish) which is 532 USD I think?

I hate to do this. I don’t have a job because I was recently studying but right now i’m looking for jobs like crazy so I can pay my bills AND save my little girl.

If someone can donate I’m forever thankful!! Even if it’s just the minimum amount. Im thankful for anything!!

And if you can’t, please reblog this. I appreciate a reblog just as much!

And IF I get the donations I need for a surgery I’ll immediately update this post and let you know!!

Reblogging this post again bc i’m still struggling financially. My dog will most likely need another surgery, and her meds costs a lot and yeah.. it’s overwhelming. I eat only once a day right now so I can save up money but it’s really really hard.

Last year I decided to give back for my birthday, and while it was a lot of work- it was such a blast! So let's do it again lads.

Do you have a need for some deco sims? Is there something you always need but no one has made? Have an idea but don't have the time or ability to make it yourself? Then do I have the event for you!

What is the event?

Starting TODAY, May 26th, 2024 if you have a deco sim request, please send it to me via the form linked at the end of this post. DO NOT send them to my askbox! I will ignore any requests not submitted correctly! Thank you! If your request sounds like fun/inspires me I will make it, and then release the deco sims on one of the 11 days! Yeehaw!

When will this event take place?

I will begin sharing out deco sims on JULY 1st!! The final day will be my birthday, July 11th!

How many deco sims will you share out?

As many as I feel like! Last year I made 148. I would wager it'll be more this year, but it really depends on how many requests I get that I want to do!

Can I make more than 1 request?

Yes! Make as many as you want! Put them all into one request in the form, or send in multiple. :D Send them in at any point BEFORE the deadline!

The deadline for sending in a request will be Sunday, June 23rd!

Make your request via this google form! Please read the disclaimer on the form before making your request!

If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask! Anything related to this event will get the tag '#11daysofdecos2024'

Tutorial: Adding Charms to Nails

was asked by @vexsims2000 for a rigging tutorial for adding charms to nail meshes.

This tutorial will assume you already know how to create meshes using blender, how to properly weight them and have a basic understanding of uv_1 transfer
  1. make sure you have your nail mesh ready to go, confirm they are placed correctly, weighted and have a proper uv_1 map

2. Add your charms, they can be any shape/size and place them onto your mesh

3. Using your base nails as a reference, transfer the finger weights onto your charms.

  • click your reference mesh, shift+click your charm then enter weight paint mode
  • click 'transfer weights' in the tools tab
  • in the vertex mapping drop down menu click 'nearest face interpolated'
  • in the source layers selection drop down menu click 'by name'

4. Then click 'clean' and in the subset drop down menu make sure it says 'all groups'. Finally, click 'limit total'

5. Check your weights: make sure none of the colors from the other groups are spilling onto the desired bone

6. UV_1 transfer

  • make sure you're in object mode
  • click your charm mesh and head over to the modifiers tab, add the 'data transfer' modifier
  • in the source object drop down, find and choose your original nails mesh
  • check 'face corner data' and click UVs to highlight (this may change the color of your mesh)
  • click the 'all layers' drop down and select uv_1, do the same for the 'by name' drop down
  • click APPLY

7. now you can join your meshes together and test them out in game

Additional Notes:

  • I used the base game nails as a reference for my original nail mesh: they are the best meshes to use for weight + uv_1 transfer
  • sometimes if charms are big enough they can get mixed up in the weight + uv_1 transfer, always remember to double check weight paint and uv_1 (it can get confusing cause the fingers has so many bones)
