Maybe this is just me projecting because I’m a disabled person who deals with a chronic illness- but Eda from the Owl House makes me feel very seen. The elixirs all over the house, the humor in her strenuous care for herself, the ability to walk others through what she goes through, and her resistance to be “cured” to not get her hopes up. I’ve never seen a show, nevertheless a cartoon- explore underrepresented areas of life like this before. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen someone deal with a chronic illness the way I do and she’s not pitied or seen as helpless- she’s badass, strong, and incredibly powerful!
