Yoops the Yoshi Koops

Oh, um, hi. I'm a yoshi; you can call me Yoops. Um, I was the alternate form of somebody else, so I'm...not sure I'm really supposed to exist on my own, but...here I am. Guess I'll just live out my own life then. I'll gladly be your friend if you're a...

“O-Oh, this thing? ...I just had the local tailor throw something together for me for official royal stuff, ‘cause going about those things in a hoodie and shorts...well, it didn’t feel appropriate. But yeah, the look’s grown on me... Actually makes me feel less like just someone’s clone and more like my own person, y’know...?”

He may have brought a few ingredients of his own like seasonings, steaks, sauces and other things he considered hard to find on the island. When it came to preparing food Boshi was a chef with many talents. “Alright then I’ll just have a little vinegar and lime on mine. Any refreshments besides wine or beer?” Boshi took out some vinegar, a slice of a lime and some Italian dressing. He separated the salad into two equalized bowls. Bringing those over to the table first then the dressing. It didn’t bother him that Yoops was slow at things. He just wanted to enjoy his presence.

Since Boshi had been taking it upon himself to prepare everything, Yoops took a step back to admire the good use the black yoshi had made of the space provided by the hotel’s otherwise quaint and minimalist room.

“Uhh... I just...usually have some form of juice...” He tilted his head in a sort of half-shrug when Boshi called for his attention again. Boshi seemed to be handling everything, as he seemed to prefer it, so Yoops didn’t want to step on any toes.

“Oh getting fancy are we? Coming right up! It’ll take a good two hours to bake though.” Mostaccioli was a recipe they both were sure to enjoy. It wasn’t a hard meal to make but wasn’t easy either. First he ad to get the pasta boiled then get the sauce ready. He didn’t have much cheese left but it was barely enough. “Looks like I need to buy more shredded cheese now.” Once everything was set he placed all the ingredients in a rectangular baking bowl. A timer was set for two hours for everything to settle

“Well now it’s time to make the strawberry salad.” All Boshi had to do was slice up a few strawberries, add some spinach leaves, gorgonzola cheese and some walnuts. The salad sauce was up to Yoops to decide. “The salad is done. Any requested sauce?”

Yoops was taken aback by the speed his friend displayed. He was getting all prepared to insist on helping when Boshi just...had everything done. Of course, Yoops was slow to speak up at times, which probably didn’t help whatsoever.

“Um... Italian, I guess...” he shrugged. Most of these foods weren’t typically found on most of the Yoshi Isles unless they were imported. Obviously someone on the hotel staff was doing it. Though Boshi could’ve also been bringing a few things in for his stay.
