The sensation of being American is just hating your country and then hearing a white British liberal call America imperialist swine and briefly astral projecting out of your body because they’re not wrong but it feels like there’s maybe some imperialist swine a little closer to them they could be working on

Lottie is Gay and Doesn’t Know It

1. She is exclusively attracted to princes, despite having never met one.

She won’t even DANCE with boys at her party who aren’t princes despite thinking they’re good boys who would treat girls well (she advises the boy she doesn’t want to dance with to find someone eager to dance with him, rather than tell him to go home).

To me this comes across as her choosing “prince” as the ideal that she finds attractive solely because it’s theoretical, the imaginary Perfect Boy who doesn’t exist. This is common among young people who aren’t exposed to homosexuality but don’t feel attraction to people like they’re “supposed” to.

2. She’s never comfortable around Naveen, always thinking about things that have or could go wrong.

Part of this self-consciousness is obviously because he’s a fake, but even when she’s set for marriage and all her dreams are coming true she’s antsy and upset and lashes out at her dad while trying to over-please the fake Naveen.

She also glances nervously at the priest right before the pronunciation, as though still dwelling on things that could go wrong rather than her happy moment–and this is the scene in which she’s been the MOST visibly relaxed with the prince.

She’s realized something’s wrong with HER not feeling attracted to the prince, despite him being “perfect” for all intents and purposes, and she doesn’t know why that is.

3. She doesn’t kiss Naveen right away despite saying in the opening that she’d kiss 100 frogs if it meant becoming a real princess.

Tiana interrupts her sure but only AFTER she’s been counting and recounting Naveen’s story back to him. She’s stalling because she doesn’t want to lock herself into another marriage with someone she’s not attracted to.

4. She doesn’t actually want to marry a prince, she just wants to be a princess. When she’s proposed to she barely pays any attention to her rapidly-transforming, lying fiancee because she’s so enamored with the image of herself as royalty. She actually shoves him away.

5. She’s absolutely in love with Tiana and still doesn’t know it.

She compliments Tiana more than any man in the film. She respects all of Tiana’s life decisions even if she doesn’t even slightly understand them because of their different perspectives, supports her dream of a restaurant even if she doesn’t share it, and is willing to give up potential romance with a prince, the thing she has dreamed about all her life, at the drop of a hat to comfort a humiliated Tiana.

And then there’s this line.

Charlotte La Bouff is only actually willing to kiss a prince if it means her best friend Tiana’s dreams will all come true.

This makes a lot of sense actually

My husband’s job primarily employs adult men but there is one (1) teenage girl and my husband said originally he worried she might be a bit of an outcast but instead every man on the crew was like “huh guess I am a dad/older brother now.”

She was in a car crash on the way to work one morning and called my husband to let him know she’d be late and he was like wtf guess I’m gonna be late too because I’m coming to pick you up and then he told his team and they were like I think you mean WE are coming.

Imagine you are a teenage girl probably rushing to get to work and you crash your probably new car and feel absolutely miserable and now you’ll be late to work but then suddenly in the distance a car full of all the adult men you work with just pulls up and is like “we came all the way here to pick you up” the mental image right now is fr.

Apparently she tried to call her dad but it was 3am and he was obviously sleeping so she called my husband and he not only came to find her but fished her glasses out of the hood of the car (she’d dropped them while looking inside), drove her to the hospital, and told her to take the day off. She insisted on coming back to work so he used his lunch break to watch TV with her to make sure she didn’t doze off (concussion risk).

You’ve heard of the Mom friend but my husband is very much the Dad friend. He said when he answered the phone she said “hey please don’t be mad” and he’s never felt such powerful Fatherhood energy in his life.

Watching people… use their mental health… get out of/ away with things… makes me so..

“You’re not supposed to say anything negative about me/tell me the truth/disagree with me because I’m mentally ill and it’s not right. You’re supposed to be on my side always and if you dare be against me you don’t care about mental health!”

My art teacher in grade 8 had ADHD and was Bipolar on top of that and on the first day of class the first thing he told us was that sometimes he would yell at us without really meaning to. And he told us that if it ever happened to call him out because his mental illness didn’t give him the excuse to treat us like shit.

Mental health issues (as well as some other disabilities) EXPLAIN your behavior, but it doesn’t EXCUSE your behavior.

The what now

They were testing the phrase “knock your socks off” and because its the mythbusters build team (which consists of 3 boom addicted gremlins) they decided to go to a quarry near Esparto california to test the myth by blowing shit up. This time they got 500 pounds of ANFO. The detonation was pretty damn big.

They started getting phone calls, turns out they and the experts underestimated the size of the kaboom, reports of broken windows, car alarms going off, people getting knocked out of their seats, hell one news station reported that they leveled the town.

According to grant, that’s why they can no longer go back to esparto.

LMFAO nobody can rival the power of the mythbusters

I’ve seen people talk about how adam and jamie are the polar opposite in energies but the build team operated on the same wavelength 90% of the time and that wavelength was “kaboom.”

Zuko: And finally, allow me to introduce the Avatar, Aang.

Aang: Ambassador Aang.

Zuko: Ambassador of what? You’re the only member of your nation.

Aang: And whose great-grandpa’s fault is that?

Zuko: Touche, ambassador.

Aang: I changed my mind now I’m King Aang.

Zuko: What.

Aang: King of the Air Nomad.

Zuko: That doesn’t even make any- whatever. Let’s just proceed with the meeting.

Zuko: Wait, who’s the president then?

Aang: *lifts baby Tenzin*

Aang: Don’t forget Lord Momo of the Momo Dynasty.

Zuko: I am not calling him that.

Aang: You’re disrespecting his dynasty, Zuko.

Zuko: Since when does he have a dynasty?

Aang: Well, most of it is gone, now.

Zuko:

Aang: Because of your great grandfather.

Zuko through gritted teeth: Your Momoness.

[People often ask me why, if I’m nonbinary I don’t use they/them pronouns. But the problem with this question and thinking behind it is it assumes that there is certain qualifications that somebody has to meet in order to be nonbinary. Nonbinary does not mean agender. It is an unbrella term used to help express the existence of any gender identity that is not either male or female.

Not all nonbinary people use gender-neutral pronouns because not all nonbinary people identify as gender-neutal. I’ve been on testosterone for two years, had top surgery and identify more atrongly with a male identify. However I do not feel a need to strictly pass as male in all situations. I feel no need to live within the standards of masculinity. Nonbinary exists to encompass queer gender expression.

And trying to discredit nonbinary people because they don’t fit your idea of what nonbinary looks like and creating expectations for things that a nonbinary person has to say, do, or look like undoes the entire premise of having a non-categorized identity. Nonbinary people can use any pronouns including the ones they were assigned at birth and still be nonbinary. Happy pride.]
