the absolutely never ending conversation on whether ten and rose were fucking is absolutely exhausting mostly because... so many of you use straw man arguments.

you cannot say doctor who doesn't have any solid canon when it suits you.

rtd wrote that relationship really intentionally and he has confirmed in his book that their relationship was not sexual in nature. you can dislike this, write fics where that isn't true, but it's still the intention.

so if you sit here and tell me i'm wrong to think ten and rose weren't fucking, that's manipulation. your headcanon and the actual intention and what was shown on screen are not the same thing.

and to shoot back and say that it's fucked up to equate love and sex boggles my mind because why is then so important to you that they fucked? why do you want them to have fucked so bad? we never saw it anyway. fic exists, fanart exists. it's because you also connect love and sex, but in a different way. and like? that's okay.

love is not inherently romantic but it can be a romantic act in certain contexts. it can mean nothing, it can mean everything.

you mean tell me that the doctor, specially ten, would have casual sex with rose? i don't buy that whatsoever. i do not believe either of those characters would be able to ever seperate love and sex. i do not believe that rose would have sex with ten and then not talk about it. i do not believe ten would have sex with rose without giving himself to her fully and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. there is nothing wrong with sex meaning something. and for these characters sex would mean something if they did it, it would name the thing. it would break a barrier and the entire trajedy of their s2 arc is that they never do until it's too late. but they loved each other fully without sex too.

can we please talk about rose’s reaction when the doctor gave her a tardis key. the little smile and when mickey tries to use it against her her reaction is so strong.

none of her boyfriends ever really made a commitment to her; mickey is implied to be cheating on her emotionally ("don't read my emails", in rose) and is overall dismissive of her (going to the pub in rose, and overall dismissive when she talks about her travels with the doctor). and then there's jimmy stone who is heavily implied to have abused her, and canonically is the reason she was in debt.

she was so afraid she was going to be left behind again and he gives her a key. and that just changes everything and she sees how much she means to him.

the doctor is the first person in a while that not only proves to rose that he wants her around but he makes her feel worthy of it as well.

You've always done what you believe to be right. People respect you.

After rewatching this episode, I can confirm that Foyet knew about Emily and probably mentioned her during those exchanges with Karl. Therefore, he specifically wrote about her relationship with Hotch. If Foyet was spying on him before/after his attack, then he might have seen something between Hotch & Emily. An interaction, a compromising gesture. Besides, they never mentioned for how long Emily drove Hotch to work, so if she did it more than once, Foyet could’ve certainly seen their connection and assume there was something else going on between them. 

Karl Arnold knew more than he let on. That’s why the first thing he told Emily was that he already knew everything about her. But what exactly did he knew? If Karl had investigated Emily, he would’ve gotten away with some witty remarks about her past or family during their conversation. And he didn’t. That’s because he was lying; he didn’t know anything about her.

What I know all about you really meant → was that he knew all about their relationship or at least what he thought they had, based on what Foyet had already told him. 

And what’s the first thing Karl does when he asks Hotch about his wedding ring? He looks directly at Emily. There’s nothing subtle about that action. Without a doubt, Karl knew about them. 

Once more, Karl looked directly at Emily and laughed. It’s pretty obvious what he meant by a casualty of the job. He was referring to Hotch hooking up with Emily.

And in fact, it would make sense. Foyet didn’t know the exact details of Hotch’s divorce. While he was spying on him, he might have seen the closeness between Hotch & Emily and thought that she was the real reason behind their separation.

And this right here was the cherry on top. I’m sure Karl was implying their working relationship had crossed the line. Especially with how he’s looking at Hotch while saying it must be distracting. 

What gave him away was the word choice. If he was relying on what Foyet had told him about those two, then by choosing that word, he was insinuating that that’s what Hotch became: distracted. And because Emily was the reason for that distraction, he had somehow ended up losing his wedding ring.

If we rely on that theory that Foyet told Karl about Hotch & Emily, everything Karl said during that interview makes sense. 

Does this make sense? I think I went a little crazy with this one 🤭

1.05 Lancelot

Emily asking Aaron out and he says yes so she blurts out a sushi restaurant (it’s the first thing that popped up into her head, because she didn’t expect him to say yes so fast) and he should’ve suggested some other place because he really doesn’t know how to eat with chopsticks, but it’s their first date so he agrees. Then the time comes and they’re in the restaurant he picks up the chopsticks and….stares at their food and starts blushing furiously. Emily looks up and is baffled by this man’s red cheeks and awkward (awkward!!) smile, but when she sees him fidgeting with the chopsticks she knows. She drags her seat over to his side and teaches him how to use the chopsticks, her hands so warm and steady over his as she patiently explains how to use them, and he’s trying so hard to pay attention but he can’t really—she really does look so gorgeous with her hair down—so she stays sitting next to him the whole night and he kisses her before they even leave the restaurant because he just can’t help it and his cheeks are still warm but that’s okay because hers are too (she’s never touched his hands so much before) and after that sushi restaurants become their all time faves <3
