Lisa could sense her before she spoke. It was a habit she had picked up from Earth 1, from her father, her brother. A different earth, different life. Lisa was different now, or at least - was trying to be. If not for the watchful eye of Supergirl, Lisa might have fallen back to old habits. But it was one of the promises she’d made with The Flash upon her departure. The promise to not cause havoc, to leave ‘The Golden Glider’ behind and try to begin again.

After all, she was the only Snart left. She wanted to make her brother proud, had always wanted to make him proud and he had died a HERO. Something Lisa thought she should try, still needing to be close to her big brother. Still, that didn’t mean she wouldn’t mess with the Girl of Steel whenever she could.

“You often sneak up on people, Supergirl. Or am I just special?” Lisa wondered, turning on her heel and lifting a brow softly.

V: Girl of Steel

Kara hadn’t met Snart but she knew about him. He was part of the legends, close to Mick and a good friend. Part of Kara wished she could have met him, and she could see just how important he was to Mick. Not only that, but she had found out that he had a sister, someone by the name of Lisa. To her surprise, while she was helping out the legends and those on Earth-1, she finally ran into her, maybe a little on purpose cause she had been looking for her.
“Your Lisa Snart, correct?” Kara asked, making sure she had the right person.

It was perhaps one of the more mundane  aspects of Lisa’s life, but still it had to be done. Shopping. For food, mostly. She was the leader now of the Rogues, which included such activities as buying food for when they undoubtedly showed up at her place and went through her cupboards. Lisa wasn’t expecting anyone to recognize her. Without the glint of gold on her jacket or the gun holstered to her side, she was almost invisible. So when someone said her name, her full name nonetheless, it set her off guard. “Who’s asking?”

The others with Lisa hadn’t even paused long enough to give her more than a curious look before moving like they were originally instructed. The other people that had been victims in this situation had Lisa not backed out were giving her looks that she could feel boring into her soul from behind right now but she really didn’t have an answer for them, for Lisa, or even for herself as to why she rushed after her.
She should have let her walk away. In her defense she honestly didn’t really expect Lisa Snart to listen to her. Not after all these years…. not after realizing who Lisa Snart had become now. Golden Glider listened to no one yet here she was stopping. Waiting like Iris had requested and the dark skinned woman couldn’t even get another word out as her beautiful old friend… ex girlfriend… stared at her with hard eyes that left Iris more curious than anything else.

“W-what…. what happened to you?” It was a loaded question, one she didn’t really expect an answer too either but she already got Lisa to stop, maybe she could get another surprise and at least something. The question deserved a much longer answer than either one of them could get right now though and even though she was thinking on her feet she only thought after she asked on how she could use the excuse that this would be for a story when anyone were to ask her later why she did any of this instead of just letting her go.

That wasn’t the question she had been expecting. It caused Lisa to quirk a brow, for her confidence to falter slightly. The briefest moment making her feel absolutely weak, though she doubted anyone would even notice the slip in her cocky smile or the slight tremble of her fingers rested on the holster of her gun.

She stalked towards Iris, a predator after her prey. “Oh sweetie” Lisa sighed softly, almost sadly. “You should have just kept your questions, to yourself.” Lisa withdrew the gold gun from the holster, her arm moving around Iris and pulling her to her body, close to her frame and pressing the guns hilt into the females side. Not enough to hurt, but enough to warn. “Sorry folks, have to cut the fun short.

Lisa took Iris out of the building and into the back of a getaway van, which soon sped off from the bank and out onto the open road. What she had done was impulsive. Was earning her all sorts of strange looks from her goons. Iris West was the reason she had told them all to leave, the reason they would get paid and Lisa could feel, very keenly, their confusion and questions. She also knew that kidnapping a detectives daughter wasn’t the best idea she’d ever had, but Lisa had PANICKED and needed to get out of the situation. “Hate to do this to you, but I’m going to need your phone and any other recording devices.” Lisa held out her hand to Iris, voice unusually soft and not with the usual velvety finish.

It was a routine stop for her on this Friday morning before work. Just a quick withdraw for her weekly expenses and then she’d be on her way to get coffee and be at the office in time for her morning meeting. She wasn’t expecting anything news worthy to happen on such a normal routine stop for her but as soon as the doors had burst open and in flooded the men with guns she felt like she should have seen this coming eventually. Central City was slowly rising in its crime rates after all.
Almost everyone dropped to the floor immediately, some just threw their hands up and ducked, but Iris stood firm. Looking from one person to the next as she assessed the situation. Ready to act like she had learned watching her father do as a Detective for most of her life.
She hadn’t even noticed the woman in charge right away. The golden gun shining in the light out of the corner of her eye should have given her a clue but she had been distracted as she watched one of the men look from person to person. They were going to pick someone out– and if she had anything to say about it she was going to make sure it was herself and not anyone else.
Eye contact had been made and he was heading her way, one firm step at a time until that familiar voice sunk into her, stopping him and making her finally look over at the woman in charge. The woman of the hour, the one that all news reporters had been dying to get any info on and how ironic was it that now that Iris saw who the Golden Glider really was that she realized she had all the info on her.
At least from their childhood until the last time she saw her.

Lisa Snart.
She said nothing as the team begrudgingly turned to leave at her instructions without whatever they came for. She should have let them go too but her feet were moving before she could stop herself and she headed straight for Lisa, disregarding any guard that might try and stop her.
Wait!”  Because if anyone could command such a thing from the Crime Queen herself, it better be her.

That voice. She hadn’t heard it in so long. It had gotten older, stronger but Lisa was instantly thrown back into old memories. Laughter on the playground, sleepovers and playing hide and seek. Their first kiss, the giggling laughter as they clumsily tried to navigate their hands. The last kiss, the tears that stained Lisa’s cheeks, the ones she never let Iris see.

A lump formed in her throat, her step FALTERED, breath caught in her throat. She couldn’t afford to turn around, knew exactly what was at stake to her reputation, the cold golden exterior she had formed around herself. Walls that were at stake of crumbling.

She turned. A decision that would stay on her mind for the rest of that day, that week. Lisa was aware of what a waste of time it was to turn, how they were closer to being arrested and thrown in jail but when it came to Iris, she found she couldn’t help herself. “Bad move, West.” she found her voice came out silky and smooth, when inside she was shaking. “I do hate waiting.”

UGH. reading that kind of thing makes me mad. how dare he try to reduce an amazing character to a ‘generic serial killer’ like ??
And I thought his characterization in season 2 of LoT was frustrating. This is just completely missing the point of the character. In the comics he’s got strict rules against killing women and cops and this movie starts with Barry getting called on a crime scene where a woman he murdered was found and later in the movie he broadcasts himself executing a cop. And those are only the ones we see.

I guess we should be thankful that this film was never made. I mean it’s one thing to have your own ideas on a character but to completely disregard the source material and essentially create a new character with the same name is just wrong.
