'Could it be that John and Paul feel a song comin' on? They had plenty of time to "compose" between takes.'

I appreciate Fabulous magazine making that sound like a euphemism.

“Compose”

I mean, based on a few things in the Beatles Cartoon, gay rumours have followed John and Paul around since the beginning.

I would not be surprised, though I do think a more likely explanation is probably that quotes used to be used to emphasise something, not to say 'This is so called, like I'm quoting them, I don't believe them'

Though that leads to the question of just why you'd emphasise compose if not to also make a euphemism?

What I'm saying is that either way it sounds like they're trying to say something.

no idea what the Beatles mean by

got to be good lookin' cuz he's so hard to see

but I can't help but think of 5'0" Andrew Minyard

It’s either a reference to Paul or Ringo, there’s some disagreement on which verse is the Paul one and which is the Ringo one, whilst the George and John verses are rather obvious.

I’m team Ringo because he’s short, and during a live performance would have been sat behind the others sitting at a drum kit, so harder to see than the others, and the one and one and one is three line would also fit a guy who isn’t that great at maths, whilst in the other verse the Coca Cola line fits Paul, who did a fair amount of coke, and the ‘no shoeshine’ would also fit the guy who decided to take off his flip flops whilst crossing the road because it was hot. (Although I think the song was recorded before the album cover was taken)

i don't know what any of those words mean 💕

The verses of Come Together reference the Beatles.

The line you were referencing is in one of the verses, and therefore refers to one of the band.

It's easy to work out which verse refers to John and George, as George (A Hindu) is referred to as a 'holy roller' and John (married to Yoko Ono), has 'Ono sideboard'.

Whilst Ringo and Paul are religious (John was spiritual but not religious), they haven't (to my knowledge) ever been as strongly religious as George. Paul's a Catholic who doesn't like the church, for instance. 'Ono sideboard' also wouldn't fit the others because they were never married to Yoko Ono.

Neither of those verses are the one with the line you were referencing.

my favourite genre of band fandom post is

"lol hahah why is that weird lyric like that xD"

" *extremely long and detailed answer as to the very specific meaning of that lyric* "

because they're just the best lol

like that one time I made a "lol wtf is dragon attack even about" post and the queen fandom flooded my activity with extremely detailed reblogs about heroin

i don't know the Beatles, only Andrew Minyard 💪

You might be right about it being about someone short. Just not 5'0" short, 5'6" short.

Or it's the Paul verse, and it's actually about a guy who's just under 6'0".

just saw the new image for the Doctor Who Beatles episode

"why are there so many beatles fans in the notes"

in my experience so far, classic who fans overlap a lot with beatles fans.

and also you're asking why there are so many beatles fans on a post about the beatles??? maybe because it had the beatles tag man idk, completely a mystery to me /s

also more of everyone being too funny reacting to this:
