came across your alien stage art on my dash today and thought to myself, "fuck yeah, love finding new artists whose style i really vibe with"

but as i continued scrolling down your blog, i discovered that i actually liked a bunch of your posts back in 2017, and that i'd been following you all this while

it's great to see how your art has grown and evolved over the years, and how it still perfectly captures my fancy even as my own tastes in art have adapted and changed

anyway, it's good seeing you again

HELLO! THANK YOU SO MUCH! this is very sweet, i genuinely feel so touched and i feel honored to leave that impression. i tend to get stunned and shy reading this sort of messages,, but they do help boost a bit of confidence about myself and my art! thank you for taking the time to write me this message! i wish you a good day!

I've been a fan since at least 2015! (Or whenever the height of Kagepro hype was.) Didn't have a tumblr account back then, but I bookmarked your page and would get really excited whenever you updated. I hope to see more OC art; they look absolutely rad.

!! OHH, kagepro really was a time! i think i got my following mostly from kagepro. sidu and jin were such a big inspiration to me. thank you so much for your continued appreciation! LIKE, MAN, GENUINELY IT'S SO SWEET,, and thank you so much for liking my oc art! i've been enjoying my oc stuff a bit more, though occasionally there will be fanart of course!

this is kind of random but i’ve been following your art for almost like.. 10 years now i think ? i first found your art when i was a middleschooler on the ancient relic that was once Paigeeworld and i still really love your art to this day

10 YEARS...... DUDE THAT'S SUCH A LONG TIME and you still remember me, holy shit. thank you so much, genuinely. messages like this are so sweet and it makes me feel so nostalgic about the lost media that is paigeeworld. BUT REALLY THANK YOU!

Hi! I love your art you're soooooo talented. I do have a question. Where do you get your brushes? Or do you make your own? Cuz I LOVE the sketchy feel to them it's so pretty.

!! THANK YOU! they are mostly textured brushes from procreate! the ones i use mainly are procreate pencil and 6b pencil

i've been following you since your kagepro days and even though i've remade a ton of times since then, i always make sure i'm following you again. it is SO COOL to see the progression of your style and all of your improvement over the years. i love your art now just as much as i loved it last year. i hope you keep drawing and continue to have fun with it.

hiii i love ur art so much and its honestly fascinating as someone whos followed u for a long time to see ur rapid improvement 🫣 if its ok with u to share any tips on how u approached studying anatomy/figure drawing or how you practiced?

WOAH, hello! that's so nice of you! 😳 thank you very much! using reference photos helps a lot. copying and/or tracing (as long as it's for learning and not posted publicly) in my personal sketchbook really helped me. as well as observing a lot of movements in person and/or in animation and movies. i think, besides gesture drawings, what really helped me is watching people move instead of looking at still images and poses. it helped me gain a better perspective on how to approach how muscles work and how they influence other group muscles.

in conclusion, just use a lot of references and it would train your muscle memory. the things that you observe might get ingrained in your subconscious, is what i think.
