The real tragedy of Morseverse is that Morse met Lewis twenty years too late because let's face it, if the inspectors had been switched around, Robbie and Val Lewis would have had that boy fixed within the month
Happy anniversary to my favourite ship
Three years ago, Morse had vanished, seemingly from the face of the earth. Three years in which his colleagues had had nothing to cling to but the desperate hope that he would achive the impossible, as he had done so often before. And then their new colleague George Fancy unwittingly told Peter Jakes the truth.
That turned out to be a mistake (at least he would have called it so at that moment) because he ran straight into Fancy and the files landed all over the floor.
At least nothing spilled out β
Except for Morseβs picture because of course it did. Why would it not?
Fancy picked it up.
βConstable, hand it overβ he barked.
But Fancy would not give him the picture, instead staring at it as if he had seen a ghost. βBut β sir ββ he finally managed to gasp.
βWhat is it?β he asked impatiently, turning his head to make sure DCI Thursday wouldnβt suddenly turn up, as he was sometimes prone to do. The last thing they needed was him thinking they were gossiping about his much-regretted bagman.
Fancy finally met his eyes, his own wide and panicked. βThatβs β thatβs Sage.β
STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE - S2E19 Blood Oath

STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION
DI Richard Poole
New Trek writers: we're bringing back the Torment Nexus from the fan favorite classic Trek episode "Don't Create the Torment Nexus" in a new movie called "The Torment Nexus is Totally Awesome" starring Michelle Yeoh.
Natalie Dormer as Anne Boleyn
The Tudors 2.09
Ds9 characters going through genuinely the worst trauma over and over again, finding new ways to have the most horrendous time:
Ds9 crew in the next episode:
There are plenty of Star Trek episodes that are bad but at least have the germ of a decent premise buried somewhere inside. And then thereβs βSub Rosaβ, where Beverly goes to Space Scotland and boinks her dead grandmaβs lover, who is also a ghost.
(This episode is just a really stupid fanfiction that actually got made and I am 100% here for it!)
this was my FAVORITE EPISODE for like a solid year so i can accurately report from the trenches that the target audience of this episode was twelve year old girls goin thru it
For real though. I was so desperate for a Beverly episode. And who doesnβt love space Scotland?
Deep Space Nine was not afraid to say it.
a wonderful ao3 author note
