From The Woolworth Tower, An Endeavour Magical Realism Series by Hekate1308

Three years ago, Morse had vanished, seemingly from the face of the earth. Three years in which his colleagues had had nothing to cling to but the desperate hope that he would achive the impossible, as he had done so often before. And then their new colleague George Fancy unwittingly told Peter Jakes the truth.

That turned out to be a mistake (at least he would have called it so at that moment) because he ran straight into Fancy and the files landed all over the floor.

At least nothing spilled out –

Except for Morse’s picture because of course it did. Why would it not?

Fancy picked it up.

β€œConstable, hand it over” he barked.

But Fancy would not give him the picture, instead staring at it as if he had seen a ghost. β€œBut – sir β€“β€œ he finally managed to gasp.

β€œWhat is it?” he asked impatiently, turning his head to make sure DCI Thursday wouldn’t suddenly turn up, as he was sometimes prone to do. The last thing they needed was him thinking they were gossiping about his much-regretted bagman.

Fancy finally met his eyes, his own wide and panicked. β€œThat’s – that’s Sage.”

There are plenty of Star Trek episodes that are bad but at least have the germ of a decent premise buried somewhere inside. And then there’s β€œSub Rosa”, where Beverly goes to Space Scotland and boinks her dead grandma’s lover, who is also a ghost.

Lmao get that ghost business girl!

(This episode is just a really stupid fanfiction that actually got made and I am 100% here for it!)

this was my FAVORITE EPISODE for like a solid year so i can accurately report from the trenches that the target audience of this episode was twelve year old girls goin thru it

For real though. I was so desperate for a Beverly episode. And who doesn’t love space Scotland?
