Tbh I don’t really see a problem in his phrase. Huge part of Brazilians is emotional (true? and this is absolutely not bad, this is so so cool in my opinion, being emotional = being alive, bright and sincere), there is nothing wrong in writing with capital letters. I just don’t get why people thought it was so offensive. Like really could someone please explain to me?
Of course all statements like that do not describe “reality” in the full; such statements are generalisations and they ought to be relative. I get that everyone is individual, but no one said that general characteristics are bad???
I would not be offended if someone said to me that hmmm for example “I can always recognise messages from you even without looking at the sender’s name bc you know when you are excited you always write with caps-lock on”. So I don’t really see an offence here. I am sure he meant nothing bad.
