Common things said to Brallie shippers...

(Warning: This is long, talks about rape and I don’t own any of these gifs)

1) “You know they’re brother and sister now, don’t you?”

Seriously folks, yes, we were all there for the adoption. Which happened in season 3. Most of us have been shipping Brallie since season 1 when Callie was only supposed to be in the Adams Foster household for a few weeks.

2) “Brallie is incest.”

They’re not. And they weren’t when they started getting together either.

3) “It doesn’t matter if they’re not incest. They’re still brother and sister now. How would you feel if Mariana and Brandon just started dating?”

I have spoken to a lot of Brallie shippers on this and believe it or not, most of us (if not all, I don’t want to speak for everyone) would not be okay with this. And here’s why: Mariana and Brandon have been raised together since they were kids. I believe the twins were 5 or 6. So, they have been raised as traditional brother and sister.

4) “Brandon is just like Liam.”

I think this is the one that bothers me the most. Out of all of them. Like, okay, I get it, you don’t think it’s appropriate for them to be together. I can get that.

Liam raped Callie. Callie said no, she did not want to have sex with him and he didn’t care, he forced himself onto her.

Brandon and Callie had consensual sex. Callie said that until she slept with Brandon, she never felt safe with another guy. Brandon never did anything to Callie, that Callie did not want. In fact, most of their kisses were instigated by Callie herself.

Now, you can say that Brandon fought for them to have a relationship, that is true. But, Callie agreed to every step of their physical relationship. And when she ended things, Brandon accepted it. So, until the day that Brandon Foster rapes Callie or does anything to her that she does not consent to, then this statement is false and if you throw it around, you need to be careful. Rape is a serious thing. Dani is a rapist, Liam is a rapist. Brandon is not either of these two.

There is no way for any of us to know this. Any ship on the show has the possibility of being endgame. We just don’t know. Brallie could end up together, they might not. But we don’t know for certain.
