just wanted to profess my love for your generator; i appreciate how much work you've put in it and its my favorite! i've been viewing it for years :) thank you!!

To be fully honest, sometimes the amount of work that compiling and updating require is overwhelming (because I'm overambitious where it comes to some things), but all the love and positive feedback I've received over the years is what helps me a lot. I appreciate you! ❤️ Thank you for such a lovely message.

hi, i love prompt generators and was wondering, is there a special code ppl have to make their own like how did yours? i'd love to make one of my own. :) happy blogging!!! <3

hi! :)

it depends on what you want to do and how advanced you want it to be, but you need some very basic knowledge of javascript (for web-based generator) or any programming language (for desktop app).

or, you can use excel to generate random values if you just want something to do the job and don’t care about making an user interface.

Hi! I remember seeing the desktop version of the generator. Is it still possible to download it?

Tbh, I don’t know if original dl is still working. I think I removed it, sorry. If I do make new versions, the links will be up on the page.

Do you have a ko-fi? I want to show some love.

Thank you for being so generous, but please save your money for something that makes you happy, or donate to a good cause.

I don’t think there’s any reason to send me tips for anything, but yeah... if someone, for some reason, still wishes to show their support in this way, LN4 Hand Project and OIAA are having a 5 day flash fundraiser at the moment, and I’d love for that tip to go for this incredible campaign instead. They provide free prosthetic hands to disabled people in need all over the world. Smallest donation is $1.

Again, I don’t think anyone should send me any money, but if you really, really wanna buy me a coffee, donate to any ongoing OIAA’s charity project (in that moment) in my name. That’ll make me happy more than anything.

If there’s anyone who would like to, but don’t have any means to donate: take care of yourself, be responsible and keep other people safe by social distancing and wearing a mask in a correct way. If you’re an artist or a writer, keep doing what you love and keep bringing joy to your audience. That’s more than enough to me.

Hope you’re having wonderful holidays!  ❤️

thank you so much for what you did AND are currently doing! you’ve helped me a lot and your work is very appreciated ♥️

Not sure if you’ll read this, but thank you for your message, you made my day! It makes me happy when I hear that something I made or put together helped someone in any way. And, of course, a huge shoutout to many, many creative people who made the generator possible in the first place.

Happy holidays! ❤️

Hi! Thank you so much for making an update of the Generator! May I please know if you'd consider making a downloadable version again? Or a download of the dialogue prompts? Thank you!

Hi! :)

A newer version of the desktop app already exists, actually, and it’s pretty much functional, thanks to my lovely beta @hyotoru. I started it back in 2017 and the app was supposed to include almost all resources a fic writer would ever need (prompts, detailed sheets, editing guidelines, spellchecker, to-do list, etc.) and more. (You know what, I’ll throw a few screenshots under the cut.)

Unfortunately, I abandoned the project two years ago since the amount of work that had to be done was overwhelming and there just wasn’t big interest for it, I guess?

I’d love to finish it, but that’s something that would take a lot of time. I’d definitely push it up on my priority list if people showed interest, or if a few people volunteered to help with things like gathering prompts and other resources, testing, and spell checking. Otherwise, I don’t see this app happening earlier than the beginning of 2021.

Or, I could just make a super simple program that does the same thing as the web page, but then again it’d literally have exact same functionalities as the previous desktop version. IDK. Tbh, it’s difficult to make decisions when there’s very little feedback....

Nothing major has changed (except for the theme-maker), but the page now has cleaner code, more modern look, and comes with a lot more prompts (check the stats at the top of the page for more information).
The old version will be up in a day or two. You’ll be able to access it here, or by adding “/oldgen” to my blog URL.
I’m always looking to expand the lists and make them more inclusive and diverse, so if you have suggestions or prompts for any of the categories (especially the first 8), feel free to send me a message or a submission.
Happy writing!

hi! thanks for fixing your prompt generator! :) is your blog still active? i miss your graphics...

Semi-active, I’d say. I don’t post often, but I haven’t forgotten about this blog. I know quite a few people unfollowed because it’s been mostly about T100 lately, but there’s bunch of multi-fandom stuff that I haven’t came around to posting (or haven’t finished). Not promising anything, but... keep an eye out?

And thank you for your message! I’m always happy to hear that people enjoy the things I make.
