i want to thank the following people, without whom this even would not have been possible:
the authors and artists who took part in this event. we had some moments of frustration but yall worked hard for me and for yourselves. i hope it was rewarding for you!
the few who volunteered to pinch-hit, because you helped make someones day and worked extra hard to finish with limited time given. your positive and helpful attitudes have been a saving grace.
everyone who helped spread the word abt this event, and supported the event and the participants throughout the past several months. your contribution often goes unnoticed, but its always valued and appreciated.
future plans
at this point i am unsure of this events future. while im certainly not going to rule out hosting round four next year, i dont rly get enjoyment out of it anymore and participation is severely down. we’ll just have to see what the future holds when it gets closer to 2018!
ill be making a post that includes the links to projects and collections from all three rounds here pretty soon, so everything is easily accessible.

you may not post before your assigned posting date, but you may post-date.
(i repeat, do not post your work anywhere before your assigned posting date!!!)
post-dating is the act of drafting your work on your archive of choice so that its easily posted on your posting date. post-dating does not mean the post will automatically post on your archive (except on tumblr); it just means that when you post from the draft it will reflect the correct date and show up at the top of the tags. not all archives have the post-dating option, and post-dating is optional and merely for convenience.
the following are examples on how to post and post-date on the most popular archives!
ao3: ● post to the collection msbb17 ● this is how you post to the collection. ● to post-date, set your fic to post on your assigned date like in this example.
tumbr: ● put the tag #msbb17 somewhere in the first five tags OR @ daiyabigbang in the body of the post. ● if post-dating, schedule your post for your assigned date like in this example.
livejournal: ● this bang isn’t associated with lj so there are no required tags. ● if post-dating, set your work to post on your assigned date like in this example.
ffnet and elsewhere: ● ffnet, deviantart, and pixiv do not have post-dating abilities so you must wait until your assigned date to post to these archives. ● im unfamiliar with other archiving options tbh so if your preferred archive is anything else i wont be able to help you but maybe someone else can! just send in an ask and ill put the word out.
tumblr is the only archive on which you can schedule a post. the other archives can be post-dated but must be posted manually on your posting date. if you dont want to post date, you can always just post on your posting date!
● submitting your links ●
on your assigned posting date either the writer or the artist must submit to this blog the following template, including links to your works.

heres an example of what it will look like on the blog.
links must be submitted here by 18:00 cdt on your posting date. if you are late, your work may not be posted until the next day due to my work hours.
banners are required, you can either email them with you final submission or submit them with the template on your posting date.
posts need to include the proper warnings and ratings according to your content. you should follow these guidelines for warnings, or the guidelines of your archive of choice.
at the very least, you are required to link to your partner’s post somewhere in yours. this means if you’re writing and post on ao3 you need to mention your artist partner and link to their post somewhere in your notes or body of the fic.
● chapterfic info ●
if you are writing a chapterfic, the fic must be finished by your due date, and the whole thing should be turned in on final submission.
when it comes to posting, only the first chapter is required on your posting date. there are options for how to post the rest of it! some ppl prefer to post it all on their posting date, and mark the story complete; others prefer to post one chapter at a time. if you choose the second option, you can post your subsequent chapters whenever you want but your fic must be marked complete by the end of the posting period, so plan ahead.
only the first chapter will be posted on the blog like this. you do not need to submit subsequent chapters to the blog or tag the blog in posts following the first chapter.
