Hey, Trigun fandom! As I'm working on a fic, I ended up with a question. What is the origin of the name "Nai" used for Knives throughout the fandom? In watching Tristamp ep 11 more closely, I see that he's referenced as "Kni" in the ship's computer. Is "Nai" vs. "Kni" due to lingual translations/dubbing differences, or something else? Does it matter if I use one or the other?

Hi, thanks for your note! It's Amethyst Ocean at the heart, with Danny in love with Sam whether he's in human or ghost form. However, Valerie has a developing crush on Danny through the story (whether human or ghost), which Danny and even some other ghosts eventually pick up on and tease her about.

There isn't true Dark Gray in this story so far, as Dan Phantom is technically still in stasis in a thermos in Clockwork's tower while everything in this story is going on. But our unstable, more Dan-like Danny Phantom does get a reaction from Valerie when he teases her, and he does hold Valerie in high regard as an ally against the GIWs, given how they both are burned by the organization. So there's lots of dark-ish gray ghost friendship and alliance while Valerie tries to push aside any feelings above that, seeing the deep relationship Sam and Danny have.

Spedran this for the anniversary! Can't believe Danny Phantom is 20 years old.

It's been very cathartic to me to be honest to see a show about a character who can't keep up with everything in his life, but he keeps trying anyway. It helps with that neat autistic burnout.

Happy anniversary Danny. You did good. I hope you got to visit the moon.

Hello, and thanks for the ask! The Passerby is a Dark Gray fic in which Dan is haunting Amity Park, but not in his usual way.

This one has the whole Gray family and other resistance members involved trying to figure out how and why the danger boi is less danger-y lately. But Valerie may have some more insight on that than she lets on!
