Hello everyone! I’m making a post on behalf of my friend, who doesn’t have a Tumblr.

She is a 2-Spirit Inuk artist who is fundraising to access vital medical treatment for chemical burns and resulting pain & complications.

She’s been struggling to receive accessible care in a racist medical system, and she needs our support.

Donations will also pay for transportation to & from the hospital for treatment, as well as basic necessities like her phone bill.

She was recently unable to pay and therefore couldn’t handle her medical needs because she had no access to a phone.

It would mean the world to me if you could spare anything to help her. I am sharing the link to her GoFundMe, as well as a PayPal info for direct donations. She’s in Canada, so if you’re donating from the U.S, your donation will even be a little more in CAD than USD!

People often apologize for donating small amounts, so please believe there is no amount too small. If everyone who saw this donated a few dollars, her care would be covered in full.

🚨🚨 In the space of 2 weeks we’ve gone from a pilot project that involved my cousin making and distributing one pot of fortified stew a day to a fully fledged soup kitchen with 10 volunteers that feeds 160 families a day or roughly 800 hungry people daily, in Omdurman #Sudan

To do this we’ve cut out all possible overhead costs to ensure we can feed as many people as possible

🟢Our volunteers are unpaid

🟢Our cooking utensils are borrowed

🟢The kitchens storage rooms are donated free of charge

🟢Transport of food items from the market to the kitchen is free courtesy of my Cousin’s Tuk tuk.

Moamin is SO CLOSE to their goal and being able to evacuate their huge family out of Gaza!!

Hassan & His Family of 10

Hassan has eight children in his family, and bed-ridden himself- facing the possibility of having his leg amputated. They are seeking to evacuate Gaza for better health and a more sterile environment.

Sara's Family

Sara's family is currently in Gaza, while her ill father made it to Egypt, much of her family is still in Gaza and wants nothing more than to get them out.

Alaa, Ola, & Hanaan

Alaa and Ola are both mothers of young children and are looking for support in the way of diapers, formula, passports, visas, etc. They're hope is to leave their home, as much as thay hurts to do.

Hey btw, here's a piece of life advice:

If you know what you'd have to do to solve a problem, but you just don't want to do it, your main problem isn't the problem itself. Your problem is figuring out how to get yourself to do the solution.

If your problem is not eating enough vegetables, the problem you should be solving is "how do I make vegetables stop being yucky". If your problem is not getting enough exercise, the problem you should be solving is "how do I make exercise stop sucking ass". You're not supposed to just be doing things that are awful and suck all the time forever, you're supposed to figure out how to make it stop being so awful all the time.

I used to hate wearing sunscreen because it's sticky and slimy and disgusting and it feels bad and it smells bad, so I neglected to wear it even if I needed to. Then I found one that isn't like that, and doesn't smell and feel gross. Problem solved.

There is no correct way to live that's just supposed to suck and feel bad all the time. You're allowed to figure out how to make it not suck so bad.

I've been sitting on this pattern and tutorial for a while now! so time to finally share it with you! I was lamenting that the jellycat pip and sugar mice were long retired and difficult to get your hands on unless you are willing to pay much more than they retailed for each mouse, so i decided to try and eyeball a pattern and make some myself! they're not exact as i only used constructed visual references but they're close! please note that this pattern set is intended for personal use only.
