My Hanged Man for the Reylo Tarot Project Sketches and final version. We are looking for talented artists in the fandom to contribute to a reylo-themed, fan-illustrated, major arcana tarot deck. The deck will explore Rey and Kylo’s relationship as well as other characters that influence their journeys.
This is a non-paid fan project.
What is tarot? What is the major arcana?
Tarot is a type of playing card often used for divination or other occult purposes. The rich symbolism of the cards make them great for re-interpretation by artists!
Tarot decks are divided into major and minor arcana. The major arcana consists of 22 imagery cards that are often featured in popular culture, such as The Fool or The Tower. The minor arcana consists of 56 cards that are divided into 4 suits – these are more similar to traditional poker cards, but are also typically richly illustrated. This project focuses only on the major arcana.
How will artists be selected?
Given that there is a limited number of cards to be illustrated, we will only be selecting 22 artists to contribute. Artists will be selected based on art quality and how well we feel their style will suit the nature of this project.
