Happy Birthday @bludragongal!!!!
I started this like… years ago, hence older Thistle design, but I finished it today just in time for Meg’s birthday. If you are following me and STILL haven’t read the thing I color, please go and do so now. We just finished book one.
Thistle must feel like it’s her birthday, too. I’ll bet she’s always wanted a dress like that!

These are the very first pieces of Avatar fan art. I know that because they were made before the series was even animated (when Katara was still named Kya). They were drawn by my nephew Alexander, in 2002/2003 when he was 7. We included them in the back of our series bible. Now he’s a 22-year-old, 6’3” college student, visiting me in LA this week. The last photo in the set shows me holding him when I was around his current age at my graduation from RISD in ‘98. (I was wearing an Iguanaman costume, a character my friend Michelle created.)

It used to be that prosthetic limbs and style had little to do with one another. Prosthetic limbs have typically had as much style as orthopedic shoes, sheathed in beige fabric to cover the metal and plastic parts within. They lacked originality, they lacked flair and they certainly didn’t reflect the wearer’s personality. Now, that couldn’t further from the truth.

According to a recent study by Professor Cedar, Vaporeon has the capability undergo variant evolutions tied to its environment.
This is speculated to be due to the highly volatile nature of Eevee DNA and the evolutionary tactic of extreme adaptability all Eevee possess. To adapt expertly to climate and environment upon evolution, the pre-evolution Eevee will adopt aspects of other residing species of pokemon, ensuring an incredibly high survival rate.
The standard Vaporeon variant occurs if the Eevee has not resided in a particular environment for an extended time, or in heavily populated human city centres.
