I think my favorite thing about a lot of these aesthetics is the way they make us appreciate some of the most mundane things. we start to really appreciate small things like handles on a train, or graffiti next to some stairs. and I think that appreciation itself, appreciation for such simple things, is beautiful
i think the determinism of LGBT discourse 10 years ago (i.e. “born this way”, “trapped in the wrong body”, etc.) really painted everyone into a corner now with the incessant identity discourse as of late. gay cis men dating trans women, cis lesbians dating trans men etc. stops being this huge existential dilemma for people’s identities if we could all just start acknowledging that sexuality is not nearly as rigidly defined as people would like it to be

love november. love the cloudy skies and the chilly winds and the nostalgic aura that always seems to envelop this month like a hazy film. you literally never walk alone in november. memories, good and bad, follow you around like a second shadow

we often say or have heard people say "we met the right person but unfortunately at the wrong time". i think this applies to books as well. there are now countless number of books which came to my hands at the wrong time but were perfectly imperfect masterpieces of their own. and later, at some other point of time, when i pick them up again, the time becomes just right, the book feels worthy to be on my hands.
