True darkness requires a certain depth of character, but you’re much too shallow for any kind of meaningful negativity.

Your eyes flutter open slowly, a soft hum of a melody playing as your vision focuses. You look around you, finding yourself in an unfamiliar bedroom. The candles perched on the wall giving the large room an orange glow.

As your turn your head, you feel a throbbing on the back of your head. You place your hand on the spot, shutting your eyes tight to try and ease the discomfort. You hear a click and open your eyes to a familiar figure in the doorway. As they approach, you recognize the boy from before. The memories flood back in your mind, remembering what you witnessed before as a distant dream.

“I see you’re awake.” he speaks softly, his dress shoes clicking as he walks past his wardrobe. “Sorry for the scenery, we moved you so you could recover in peace from your...fall.”

As he turns toward you, you take in his attire. His crisp white dress shirt tucked into well fitted black dress pants, accompanied by a matching blazer. He looked professional, yet youthful. His defined hands untie the thin black bow tied under his collar, setting it on a desk.

“It’s okay.” You reply, your voice low from sleep. “Did I faint?”

“It appears so. After I completed descensum you collapsed and hit your head. Your supreme insisted you all leave but I offered to have you rest here while they celebrate the return of your...sister.”

You notice his eyes look you up and down, adjusting your black skirt as you sit up. He approaches you, stopping you before you stand.

“I think you should wait a little, you hit your head pretty hard.” Freezing as his hand reaches toward you, placing his palm on the back of your head. “If you fell any harder you might’ve gotten a concussion.” His hand lingers, moving to move a stray hair behind your ear. The feeling of his warm skin touching yours made goosebumps rise on your clothed skin, sending a shiver down your spine. There was something about him, something you couldn’t place. It seemed dark, yet warm and inviting.

You were tempted to use your strongest ability, emotional literacy. With his hand still lingering, touching your temple, you sense a feeling of calmness but fear. It didn’t feel like classic fear, like he was fearing something greater than himself.

“Did you think you’d be able to do it?” You ask.

“Do what?” His hand moving away, losing your connection and window into reading him.

“The Seven Wonders. Did you think you’d be able to finish them?”

He gives you a confused expression, visibly thinking. You didn’t need contact to tell that he didn’t know his answer. Suddenly, you see his eyes shift, his demeanor changing in an instant.

“Well I did them, didn’t I?” His lips curve to a confident smile. “Why? Are you thinking of attempting them?”

Honestly, you weren’t sure. Your powers weren’t too strong, your emotional gift the one you felt was the strongest. You also had smaller abilities but they seemed weak still and not supreme worthy.

“Tell me Y/N,” he kneels in front of you, placing a hand on your knee. “What am I feeling?”

It was almost like the temperature in the room increased in a second, your head filling with the thoughts running through his mind. You never had the ability to read thoughts until now, reading the message replaying in Michael’s mind.

“I can read you too.”

You feel the color leaving you once you see into him. A normal person couldn’t make you feel like this, but Michael wasn’t an ordinary person.

He was the antichrist.
