Matt Mullenweg is now sexually harassing Avery on Twitter for posting a selfie and the caption “too hot for tumblr”
what the actual fuck is he doing. where those were sw accounts this is not just completely inappropriate harassment but potentially outing. so fucking far beyond what he was already doing to follow her there.
also noting that he's changed his focus since nobody thought the screenshot of the threat was valid (and i have had multiple ex-staff confirm that it's not against tos, btw). this kind of info should never be dug up and put out there by a ceo having a tantrum, christ alive
Top tip for making the trans women in your userbase feel safe:
stalk them on other social media and share their personal information there
this is deplorable
desired a little more than me but we wont talk about that
hihi, i hope the day has been gentle to you. why is the word martyr used instead of just dead? i had never heard it before this started happening.
hello, thank you for sending this in. we use martyr because in arabic we call the dead "shaheed" which means witness. martyr is the closest english translation to shaheed.
shaheed implies that the dead was a witness to injustice, which is why we call victims of war "shaheed." its to show respect and revere the dead in a unique way.
Good morning. This might be my last message from the city of Rafah. The occupation [Israel] is carrying out crazy fire. Violent belts. As you’re hearing, there are helicopters. Planes and gunfire from the vehicles. There’s a complete invasion of the city.
We don’t know what is going on in Rafah. The place that the occupation [Israel] claimed to be safe. This is happening all of a sudden; the people didn’t go out. They didn’t do anything. More than thirty targets were hit in just minutes. People were asleep. We woke up to the bombing, to the shooting from the helicopters. It was horrifying. Unacceptable. This might be my last message. Please relay it to the world.

Rafah was Palestinians’ very last safe zone. There is quite literally nowhere else left to go. And now it’s being bombed with airstrike after airstrike.
What’s funny is I was gonna be like “well the Super Bowl is obviously a distraction! It’s not a coincidence that Israel invaded Rafah on the same day all eyes were on the Super Bowl!” then I remembered that the western world doesn’t care to begin with and Israel has been genociding Palestinians with no remorse for months now. To claim that they do it while the world is distracted is also to imply that the world would care if weren’t, which it doesn’t. The truth is Israel is now targeting Rafah because Israel knows the US won’t be doing shit to stop them either way. It really is such a depraved world.

i keep seeing this cut off but the preceding “yessiree” is vital to it imo
video description: a Family Feud clip where the answer to a question is about to be revealed. Steve Harvey passionately says, "Yessiree, thought about killing *myself!*" and a "ding" noise plays, signifying a correct answer has been said. the answer tile flips over to reveal "kill himself," as the third-most popular answer. end video description.
Children can die within a matter of days without insulin. In even less time a lack of insulin will cause blindness, nerve damage, and kidney failure.
Here's The United Nations Palestine Site confirming this reporting. It's a larger article covering ALL the difficulties Israel is creating for humanitarian aid, but if you ctrl+f "insulin" you'll find that Jaime McGoldrick, the UN Humanitarian Coordinator, does say the Israelis are blocking insulin pens under the absurd argument that they're "dual use" which: they aren't even trying to claim there's a military use for them they're just pretending that "dual-use" covers obvsl civilian uses which they disapprove of. This is Monstrous.
No need for explanation.

Speaker: And I would like to use the rest of my time to say how appalled I am people are bringing up the Holocaust. Do not use other genocides to describe this one-
[Audience laughter]
Speaker: [surprised] -Oh!
Rashida Tlaib has set up a petition to send to the White House to recognize and stop the ethnic cleansing and forced displacement happening in Gaza. If you’re a US citizen please sign. I have no illusions that this will change policy, but the public outcry against their actions must continue. We will not be distracted or discouraged from continuing to object to these human rights violations.
So isaac herzog, current president of Israel, spoke at the world economic forum a few days ago and I find what he said here to be very interesting:
"If Israel wasn't there, Europe would be next, because the barbaric jihadists want to get us all out of the region"
Now while this in itself is not particularly noteworthy because they’ve said this over and over again the past couple of weeks, I wanted to point out that this rhetoric is actually not new, in fact, it’s even older than the state of Israel.
In Theodor Herzl’s 1896 treatise on the state of Israel, it included this:
Herzl’s words can easily be repeated today, and I see it echoed within the statements of Israeli politicians and settlers - Zionist rhetoric about Palestinians has changed little over the past hundred years - something said 20, 50, 100, 120, years ago about us could be said now - be aware of that whenever you see speeches like this circulating, it’s likely it’s not the first time it’s been said.
