ten years. ten years i have been playing this game nonstop. over and over. run after run. full playthrough after full playthrough. and i only just notice now, less than a week before the HD remake drops, that Fi visibly smiles in this scene.
to my knowledge, at no other point in the game does her expression change or shift. at all.
but they let her smile here. they let her have ONE.

some month old doodles for my band au! it's the ff emo quartet as an alt band, essentially. as i do more art for them i think they'll sorta explain themselves lol but here's some background info:
- the band's name is dissidia multum
- they're all somewhere in their mid-to-late 20s
- noctis is lead vocals and keyboard, leon is backup vocals and bass, cloud is guitar, lightning is drums
- leon is the primary songwriter. he's also exceedingly gender and exceedingly aware of it
- noct and the chocobros are all together, lightning and terra branford are together as well
- cloud and leon are single when they meet but this is a strifehart au so... doesn't stay that way forever ;)
I just love *clenches fist* talking about character analysis and why characters act the way they do. It’s supremely satisfying to figure out motivations of characters and see how that ties into their core nature and how they perceive the world around them.

SURPRISE EVERYONE! ITS CALLAHAN! LENORES TOTALLY COOL OLDER BROTHER! so this lovely man actually has quite a bit of lore to him! callahan is 5 years older than lenore, which means that while he was in his final year of garden; he got to see little 11 year old squall, zell, etc. when callahan became a SeeD in his final year, he got noticed by a lot of those little youngsters. he'd pass squall by in the halls and unlike every other student, squall would actually scoff at him rather than go all starry-eyed. hence why he used to call squall scoff-face.
his arm is all burnt bc while he was on his first SeeD mission he actually got hit with some experimental machinery that had Ifrit's essence in it; hence burning him but now that arm is consistently warm so thats cool. (thanks ifrit!) but that's also why he dropped out early just bc he was so shameful about it and just resorted to helping out on their family farm
he's a little shit. he loves being an absolute Menace. he makes it everyones problem that he decided to wake up.
