to be honest, you should have expected this. i mean, what did you think? that after all this time － that he'd come back and tell you the words you longed to hear? that you were all that he needed, and that he was wrong about everything.
yes, you indulged yourself in daydreams like that, images of oikawa tooru: teary eyed with dark circles lining his eyes, rushing up to your front door, holding your hands close to his chest as he mumbled out an apology.
maybe that was wrong, but could they really blame you? you spent the last few years of your highschool life supporting the man in every way you could, not knowing that the relationship helped you too.
