I appreciate the recommendation! Unfortunately I just don't have the steam for it, and I'm not on speaking terms with much of the former team. (Which means it'd be iffy to post the game at all considering the assets aren't just made by me! I'd need to get back in contact with them to ask.) Many reasons. Multiple of us were struggling to complete work on the dating sim, myself included. It was tough finding someone to program the game! I was also really struggling to complete assets for the game. As it stands all the assets are done except for a good portion of the audio. I'm sad the game never got finished, I was proud of all the work we did and know y'all would've liked the story. There were some more personal reasons for why it was discontinued. Which I'm not getting into because it's very private and-I mean this in the nicest way possible-no one's business.

I wish we could've gotten this game out for y'all, it was a great project that got too many cracks. If you ever try something similar yourself make sure you don't bite off more than you can chew.

Discontinued until further notice

Unfortunately a lot of personal things have gone down since this project has started. I've also fallen out of the fandom quite a bit and don't really intend on coming back at all. I have lost a lot of will for this project and I'm so sorry it had to end this way. I could not have seen this coming at all. All visual assets are finished but I can't bring myself to keep working on this. If you would be interested in taking over the project I'm open to it. Feel free to talk to me on Discord Goobus#8374 if you're interested, or y'know, Tumblr works!

We are still finishing this thing!!!

Nope not dead! Got another programmer on board and hoping to get this baby done in a month or so. Not really sure about a deadline yet but visual assets are all done. Just gotta piece the game together! (and do audio) I have not yet given up on this project and I will have me a functioning dating sim dammit

Since the game is being put together in Renpy it will be compatible with Mac, Windows, Linux, IOS, and Android!

Apologies for the silence! It's been a very hectic time for me adapting to becoming a full time student and attempting to finish things for the game at the same time. I can unfortunately not say for sure when the game is coming out. Though, I am hopeful it'll be out by the next couple of months <3 Going to see about sharing a few teasers sometime soon :)

Alright, so, while I was goofing around in premiere pro making some smaller psychonauts editing projects. I got an idea to do a short little mini Loboto dating sim that would take place on YouTube, though after some discussion with my friends over at Thorney Towers I decided, heck, if I'm going to do it I'm gonna do it right. So I vowed, the 13th of June to do just that.

(Note: it's going to be made in Renpy not VN maker)

The idea itself came to me at random one day, I thought it was such a shame that there's not a single psychonauts related dating sim. So I decided to make my dreams a reality haha. Besides a big project like this will be fun to have accomplished, plus people can play it! Isn't that neat?

I'm sorry to say that it'll probably be delayed even further since we're all doing this in our spare time. Plus I'll be super busy in mid to late August and so on. We're all working hard though, rest assured :^)

Dentists Have Fillings Too Zine Interest Check

Hi, this is just a quick question to ask around, but over at @lobotodatingsim we’re checking to see whether there would be any interest in a short zine of the art of the psychonauts dating sim we are creating, “Dentists Have Fillings Too“.

Dentists Have Fillings Too is a dating sim where you are a potential test subject who is trapped in the Rhombus of Ruin with Doctor Loboto. There’s only one problem. You aren’t a psychic! What’s a dentist to do? If we were to move forward with this zine, it would likely be 14-20 color pages of backgrounds and illustrations at an A5 paper size from the game, along with a small Loboto and teeth themed sticker sheet to go with it! :D. We dont want to make money off this, we only want to spread the Psychonauts love, so this likely would be priced from 5-8$USD + shipping, (to cover the printing and sticker sheet costs), and any remainder would be donated to a yet undecided charity. Update!

All the writing is finished for the dating sim and we are focusing our energy on art and getting the assets into renpy. We are absolutely still working our asses off to get this game done, and I appreciate that y'all are being patient and not rushing us <3 I'll see if I can show you guys some WIPs but it's hard to avoid spoilers...

WARNING: Has flashing images and some loud (Not earrape) disturbing sounds. (screams, stabbing sounds, and the like)

A little test I did for a bad ending ;3 ! A modified version of this may or may not make it into the game. Thank you all for being patient, being a (mostly) one man game-making band is a lot of work! As it stands a lot of the sprites are done, but the story is taking a while to write down... I have most of this mapped out in my head, so it’s getting done don’t worry ;D <3

To be clear, I am not doing this completely alone though, again @hurlingartengine has been very generous in helping me out with the backgrounds and a few sprites! Please show him some love! Plus everyone in the Thorney Towers server for giving feedback and suggestions uwu <333

Dating sim update #1

Hello everyone! I thought I’d give you guys some updates on how the game is going so far. I have gotten the first chunk of the story done and have started working on the sprites. My lovely friend @hurlingartengine is doing the backgrounds for me and the game will be assembled in VN maker!(Most likely, if it doesn’t work for me I’ll try a different engine.)

The game has choices that determine what ending you get. It will be set in ROR. I really hope to make this game fun and accesible for everyone, no matter gender or sexuality! However there will be some segments that include light gore and horror aspects which won’t be for everyone. Just as a little heads up! The game will be free to play :)
