Small tip for people who find themselves with the same problem (like I often do):

There are plenty of image reverse-search engines out there (e.g. saucenao, tinEye, google, etc.) that may help you find the original artist! In my personal experience, saucenao is especially good for finding artists because it prioritizes Pixiv and Twitter accounts etc. I personally use a browser extension that allows me to right-click an image and choose an engine to reverse search (or reverse-search with all at once!), which has helped me find many artists!

Sadly, some images are reposted a lot of times and therefore it may take a while to find the original author, but keep an eye out for results with Pixiv, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, DeviantArt accounts and/or any other platforms that an artist might use to share their work. Also, if the artist’s signature is readable/not cropped out of the picture, searching this on any of the above mentioned platforms may give you results as well.

Speaking as an artist who has had her work reposted without credit numerous times and that often finds uncredited artwork that I’m dying to know the artists of, it really really really helps if you take the time and effort to find the original creator! Remember, even digital artworks are not just ‘images on the internet’ but someone put time and effort into creating them, and it doesn’t hurt to share your support if you like their work. And who knows, you might even find more that like :)

Hi there! Okay firstly, Thank you sososo much ahhhh!! It makes me happy to know I can get to be inspiring to someone! 💜😭

Now with your actual question, well here they are the steps of how I normally color a piece •^•

And here are some tips that I deem useful when coloring:

Learn at least the basics of color theory (there are plenty tutorials for this topic that explain It better than I ever could so I recommend watching them out!)
Define the light source before anything, this will make incredibly easier to know where to generate shadows and lights.
Play with the hues! The background lighting affects the base colors and shading, so a pink jacket for example may look a bit more purple-ish when placed at night time and more red-ish when placed in a sunset.
The closer an object is to another, the shadow will be sharper, and the further the objects are, the shadow will be more blended.
Not every object has the same texture, therefore not every object reflects shadows/light in the same way.
Warm lights cast cold shadows and cold lights cast warm shadows.
I know using every feature your program has to offer can seem boring or tiring, but you won't know what you're capable of If you don't try It out yourself! Use as many layers as you want, play with layers' settings, try textures, try filters, try brushes, you can get amazing effects in the weirdest ways honestly tbh

I hope you found this somewhat useful, I don't really know what I'm doing half of the time oof. But the best advice I can give you? Remember to have fun and to love what you're doing! Have a nice day 💕

I love how

Tiki is calm, but when we put her in the "timeout cage" AKA a spare cage we have. Don't worry, she has food, water and lots of toys. Plus shes not even an inch away from the other birbs. She also has escaped from her cage several times. ~~(Lil sneak)~~

Her name was Bıcır and she was an asocial little bitch, she froze to death because she refused to cuddle with the rest of the chicks. I think I'm at fault there--I suppose I spoiled her too much by warming her up myself rather than ensuring that she could get used to surviving on her own.

She screamed when she couldn't see us, but when she saw us after a really long time she would let out the cutest sounds I have ever heard.

She also thought our hands were dirt. It really, really hurt when she'd try to dig into the "dirt" to find worms. But she looked really cute and happy doing it so we didn't really stop her.
