i know that a lot of people think sulli ended her own life because of her online bullying that she received, and i believe that was definitely a contributing factor, but please don’t forget that sulli struggled with mental illness and a lot of the bullying she received was because of the stigmas surrounding mental illness in SK. please don’t ignore that sulli was struggling with far more than online bullying. please don’t reduce this to a death by bullying. it was death by mental illness and we need to talk about it.
and while we are on the topic of bullying, the bullying sulli received was NOT the normal run of the mill haters most idols get at some point in their careers. the hate that sulli got was rooted very deeply in a hatred towards women and ignorance towards openly mentally ill people. we lost someone very special - someone that wasn’t afraid to share their struggles with the world regardless of the stigma, someone that fought for women. we will never forget you sulli.
