I recently re-read @not-close-to-straight‘s thunderiron fic “Storms” and decided to stretch my fingers with some sketches (I have not touched a pencil since summer break and I regret that desicion)

Authors Note: Frost picks up a few weeks after STORMS ended. It is not necessary to read Storms, but highly recommended! This fic will focus mostly on Loki’s mental health and healing and how his developing relationship with Tony and mending relationship with Thor helps him find peace.

********************** Tony loves being in Asgard. He is healed and whole, free from both the physical scars left by his arc reactor and years as Iron Man, and the emotional scars left by…everything. He loves being at Thor’s side during the day and in Thor’s arms at night.

So why is he so drawn to Loki? Why does it seem like everytime he looks at the Trickster God, bright green eyes are staring right back? And why is Tony intrigued when those green eyes shift to red and that pale skin flickers to blue?

Loki doesn’t know what to do with Anthony Stark. The legends speak of the Thunder God and the Trickster God sharing a soul, a mate, a heartbeat, a Hjartslattur– and maybe there was a time when Loki believed in that. Maybe there was a time when the idea of sharing someone with Thor had thrilled some secret part in his heart. But that was before…everything. Before finding out about his true parentage. Before the wars and the deceptions and the anger.

Now it seems that happiness at all is out of Loki’s reach, especially any happiness that includes the beautiful dark eyed mortal. So why then, does he find himself yearning for gentle touches and soft smiles? Why is he unable to stay away from Anthony? And when his glamour slips and Anthony sees him for what he really is– why doesn’t the mortal run screaming like everyone else?

Thor sees something between his love and his brother developing and encourages Tony to explore it, assures Loki that everything is alright. But Loki still can’t believe that he deserves happiness like this, and is terrified that he will do something to drive Anthony and Thor away and he will be left all alone, all over again.

But thats fine. Because if he is alone, he can’t hurt anyone with the Frost that flows through his veins.
