Just a reminder, but you do not need to “earn” being tired.

You’re allowed to be tired, even if you haven’t “done” anything and you’re allowed to be tired even if you did less than someone else.

Being tired is a normal thing your body does for a whole plethora of reasons, and is a basic bodily function. You don’t need to “earn” basic bodily functions, no matter what anyone else tells you.

you don’t have to run yourself ragged to compare with those who do, either. being tired is not a competition

I'd care if the person I reblogged this from committed suicide.

Reblog this from anybody. literally. ANYBODY. even if you dont like them or even know them that well. YOU COULD SAVE THEIR LIFE.

That’s Louis Rossman, a repair technician and YouTuber, who went viral recently for railing against Apple. Apple purposely charges a lot for repairs and you either have to pay up or buy a new device. That’s because Apple withholds necessary tools and information from outside repair shops. And to think, we were just so close to change.

This is really important and let me tell you why.

My mom has an iPhone 6 Plus and hasn’t even had it for a year when one day it suddenly died and would not charge. So she took it to an authorized Apple repair place and they charged her $50 for a diagnostic only to tell her that she would have to buy a brand new phone.

So she decided to go to the AT&T store to talk to our usual guy that upgrades our phones and handles any problems for us. She tells him what’s wrong and he takes her phone to the back only to come out two minutes later, puts her phone on charge and it comes back to life.

She asks him what was wrong with it that he managed to somehow fix when the people at the “authorized apple repair place” couldn’t. And you know what he told her?

“There was just a bit of fuzz in the charging port.”

I FUCKING KNEW IT. Listen, I have a MacBook from college. The charger has died twice, and I had to get a new one. This happened for two years in a row around the same time each year. I’m fucking convinced that their hardware is rigged to “expire” in order to force people to keep buying their shit.

Wait, people are just now learning that Apple has some of the shadiest business practices?

You know this isn’t really just apple, company’s do this all the time, everything is rigged to expire and all they want is your money.

Ohhh no no no, this IS JUST Apple.

All companies want you to buy their new products. None have gone to the lengths that Apple Inc. has gone to make end user repairs as impossible as is legally viable. I have been repairing electronics and computer systems privately, commercially and active duty in the US military for about 30 years.

Apple puts extra effort into special hardware requiring proprietary tools that are only legally produced by their licensed manufacturer and can only be purchased through licensed repair shops if at all.

Companies like iFixit can only exist as profit making companies because they are able to make workaround tools and kits that are still profitable but less of a blatant ripoff than Apple.

Apple has been doing this forever. The way Apple treats consumers is abysmal, and people still eat their products up.

I had a Galaxy S3 for 5 years while my sister went through 3 different Apple phones in that time period.

@elzakitty he’s so cool

FUCK THE SYSTEM

I have all Apple products. A Macbook and an iPhone– Whenever I’ve had to go in for repairs, they SUCK and I’m so glad I’ve had my things covered with their Apple Care. I would be out thousands of dollars if it wasn’t covered.

Anyway, the last time I went in for my laptop about two years ago now… I went in because the lid was misaligned. It came back from ANOTHER repair from them like that. So Apple agreed to fix it and it would take two days. I said okay, and gave them my laptop. Well, a week goes by and I’ve been calling asking about my laptop and they keep saying it’s not ready. I thought that was super weird because a misaligned lid should be a relatively easy fix. At the end of the week, I get the call to go in and get my laptop. It looks okay. The lid is fine. They show me how it opens smoothly and I thank them. I take my laptop and I go home.

When I go home and boot it up EVERYTHING is gone. Just EVERYTHING. I panic. I had years and years of information on that laptop. Pictures, videos, documents, etc. I call them and anyway two hours later I finally get to someone who can give me an explanation: Apple took it upon themselves to not only fix the lid of my laptop, but to also send my laptop to an undisclosed outside repairman who replaced my entire hard drive without telling me or giving me an option to opt out of the “repair”. They made ABSOLUTELY no mention of this to me when I picked it up. They gave me to compensation either for the things I lost.

Luckily, I was able to restore my laptop from a backup I had made months earlier. I lost things, but it wasn’t as bad as it could have been.

Apple is the shadiest company and I hate that my products are from them honestly. I hate that I genuinely ENJOY their products.

I’m gonna just leave this here:

And people think I’m just a baseless apple hater bc I can be.

The only Apple product I’ve ever owned was given to me as a gift. It was an iPod touch. I avoid Apple as much as I can.

I work at AT&T and I shit you not 85% of the people who come through our door have a problem with their iPhone. All my coworkers have Samsung phones because Apple pulls this absolutely heinous shit
