The Merry Month of Cohen 2020 is at an end. The AO3 Caught The Darkness collection is closed.  My greatest thanks to all the contributors, all the creators of fics, fanart, podfic and fanvid. This was a slide into angst and Cohen’s beautiful inspiration which will stay with me for a long time. 

There will be a 2021 fest, I am sure of that, and I’ll post something here when the next brave person takes up the baton.

But first, let’s talk about what’s there and what will come up soon.

Already seven days have passed since the start of the Merry Month of Cohen 2020, and we’ve already had our fair share of angst, laced with darkness, and some hope too.

@caladeniablue started the dice rolling with The Cruelty or the Grace, an M-rated Voyager multi-chapter AU. J/C. WIP.                                          During Voyager’s journey, Janeway descends into her own private hell as she seeks to atone for the consequences of her decisions and what she sees as her transgressions of Starfleet principles. 
Then BlackVelvet42 picked up the pace with Love Like a Shadow, M-rated Voyager. J/C (sort of). Complete. ‘The weak sounds from behind the bulkhead caught his attention the very same day he was assigned to his quarters on Voyager.’
Coming Back To You by @70thousandlightyearsfromhome, features Harry Kim and Tom Paris. E-rated. P/K. Complete. Harry Kim can’t quit Tom Paris, but he tries.
It’s the Destiny of Stars to Collapse by @amoderngirl. Another Voyager J/C AU. T-rated. At the end, Janeway and Chakotay reflect on their choices.
Repercussions by @bizships​, another J/C Voyager AU. Multi-chapter, Complete. M-rated. Teero Anaydis' ill-fated mutiny of Voyager disrupts a lot more than just ship's business.
A jump into another fandom: Star Trek - Picard first with:  You Want It Darker by @regionalpancake​. A Seven/Raffi T-rated fic.  After suffering a flashback from her time connected to the collective on the Artifact, Seven relies on her photographic memory and Raffi to calm her down.
Then, One Long Slide by @cnrothtrek​, M-rated. Complete ‘I lost my security clearance. I lost…’ - What happened to Raffi after Picard resigned from Starfleet? 
And for something a bit different but no less addictive: a Voyager fanvid by @mia-cooper​, Everybody Knows, G-rated, J/Kashyk (who else!). ‘Everybody knows that the dice are loaded // everybody rolls with their fingers crossed // everybody knows the war is over // everybody knows the good guys lost...’ - A Counterpoint story. 

Eight works so far, ready for you to savour with a drink in hand and music in the background. Please leave kudos and comments where possible to encourage those creators.

And ten more (you’ve read right!) fics and fanart, TOS, Voy and DS9. All inspired by the king of dark poetry. May his songs be remembered for a very long time, and may all those stories and creations live and prosper in our hearts and minds.
