I've been having a hard time getting motivated to draw this last year. Im in a much better place than I was when this started, but its still been hard getting creative.

I saw you painting of Luz and Andromeda, and really wanted to look at more of your work (particularly Luz lol) and idk what to say. Youve got me wanting to pull out the tablet again and paint.

My wrist sucks so Ill have to go slowly, but I wanted to let you know that your art is beautiful and inspiring. Thank you ♡

This is literally the sweetest ask I’ve ever received thank you! Honestly I’m in a bit of a similar spot. I’ve been struggling to pick up my tablet for projects unrelated to work for a while now and even when I do I really struggle to finish projects. That wip of Luz for example has been a wip for… four months? A half a year? It’s been a while and there’s many others that are even older.

I’m really happy seeing them got you inspired though! If there’s one thing I’ve learned it’s that drawing at all is better than never drawing. It’s not even about productivity or completion. It’s that you have the opportunity to do something you enjoy sometimes as well as the opportunity to make beautiful and cool things. Even if you never finish things or post them for others to see making art is still fulfilling and worthwhile. Despite my creative struggles I still enjoy bringing things to life so it makes me happy that my art is inspiring others to do the same!

I don’t have much art of Luz because they’re a more recent character and my burnout has made it hard, but if you like them you might also enjoy my art of Lucéena (tagged as that name or under Ja’roach) Luz is a pathfinder revamping of Lucéena after her dnd campaign ended so the two share a lot of similarities. Their designs are a little different though because I didn’t want to feel beheld to old character choices I’d made. I wanted the similar vibes but with a fresh start. Their races and classes didn’t line up in the conversion either, so it didn’t make sense to do a complete design carryover. Lucéena was an shadar kai eldritch knight and Luz is a fetchling magus. Their backgrounds are both the guard/soldier tho and they share a lot of story elements. One day I’d like to do more art for Luz! Or maybe even a piece with the two of them together

Putting wips of your characters from different campaigns on the same page is a mistake I was just trying to compare them for height reference and I accidentally created a fairy gf/goth gf dynamic! Now I’m SAD and MAD because these two are my own characters and the only way I’ll ever get to see them together is if I go off the rails and actually draw AU content for them!

…which I might. I have no idea what I’d draw but literally them just standing on the same page is cute and I want to see what my 5’5 space paladin and my 6’3 pf magus would do if they ever existed in the same room

It’s been a while since I shared anything sorry guys! Have this messy sketch I kind of like

Per my rambling tags about not being sure if I liked Luz’s cape like this:

The highest form of compliment I can receive on my art thank you

Thank you! (Before people get too impressed I was sketching with reference. But I pulled the perspective out of my butt so it’s probably not as accurate as it could be.) Luz is my edgy little PF character so I like the idea of them just being that slick XD It’s also funny because the character I based Luz on was a different oc that was colorblind. At one point in this oc’s journey she got a cloak of the mountebank but couldn’t tell that it was bright red so everyone else in the party was like “whoa you know that’s totally not your all-black vibe right?” So she spent a month leaving it at a store to be dyed black because she doesn’t know color theory. If it’s not black then it surely makes her look foolish! (Even tho I thought it was kinda cool lol).

I think it’s funny that Luz as her reincarnate finally got the red cape, this time entirely within their choice.

Thank you! I live for these kind of art analyses on my work :D I do like the red here. If I were to finish it I’d probably compliment it with some hints of blue atmosphere but we’ll see. And yea the paleness really ups the contrast. Thats a signature part of their character so I’m a little reluctant to change it, it’s why I keep going back and forth with the clothes instead XD Thank you for being a continual enjoyer of my art!

Best advice so far. 1.5 goth vampires wasn’t enough I must not stop until I have a hoard of them sitting in a closet and being all gloomy and sad.

Wanted to share a series I’ve been working on, even if it’s a bit early in the season. I decided to illustrate the ghosts of Christmas! From top to bottom we have past, present, and future
